InstaHang - Convenient and Secure, Hang Cherished Wall Art or Tapestry in Seconds

I figured out that the main reason for all the bad reviews on this product is that for some reason, the company claims it will work on "any wall". But anyone who knows anything about wall hangers can see that it will not work on wood, plaster or any hard-material wall. It does however, work great on sheetrock and is extremely handy, accurate and solid for a quick picture or 2. Just line it up, pop the plunger smartly with the palm of your hand and done . . . nice, clean and straight, ready to use hanger peg. Also, many have pointed out that's it's "cheap plastic". Again, it's plenty sturdy for nailing into sheetrock and for this price point, you're not going to get stainless steel. So while I rarely write reviews, I feel that this item has been poorly represented, needs further explanation and really rates a 5 star for how well it works when used properly. To whoever markets this item, you should simply change your ads to "sheetrock" only . . . you'll probably sell a whole lot more of them by being honest and not getting all the negative reviews. You're welcome . . .

These things are amazing and the easiest way to hang stuff around the home!

Well what can I say about this product? I have only given it one star on the strength that it did arrive at the house.We used it for the first time and it worked, so feeling we were on to a 'winner' and with about 30 pictures to hang we switched the phones off closed the laptops and shut off the iPads.On the second attempt it failed to work and in fact has never worked since. It took longer to place the order with Amazon than we had use of the product. Looking at the picture of it the, grey/black staple gun looks "like metal" sadly I am here to report that it is very thin, brittle plastic which broke into pieces on the second time we used it.Hmmmmmm back to hammer and nails.

I read a lot of reviews before ordering this so I knew there were concerns. But this reminded me of something my dad used decades ago with curtains we had, so I ordered it, and used it, and ..for me...it was fine. Here's the thing: I was 'tacking' something really thin and light to the wall, and that's all I used it for. It was fine for that purpose, and for that purpose, I'd use it again. One issue is that I have is, some of the tacks do stick, but they were easy to remove and to go about using it. Now the next thing is to get "refills" for the tacks it uses as no regular pins can be used.

I'm on my 2nd one of these and it broke the same way the first one did-the spring holder pin snaps off.When it works, it works but then when you reload the push pin hangers or it jams and you have to take out the spring/cap assembly the pin breaks off.I've ended up just using the push pins/hangers with a hammer and the tool is worthless.Don't waste you money on this unless you are ready to send it back when it breaks after the first use or two.Since this is a known issue you would think the manufacturer would realize the defect and do a redesign or make it out of a different material that won't break.

When I ordered the Insta Hang along with a refill kit (just in case), I thought to myself, "Well, even if doesn't actually work as well as they make it out on the infomercials, at least it's not gonna cost me a lot of money to find this out." And boy was I totally wrong! I quickly and successfully wall hung 32 8 x 10 photos in several different and fun groupings in about 1 hour and most of that was time I spent deciding on arrangement before pegging. Totally a great buy!

Simple to use, just follow the directions and be sure to put the pins in correctly. I wouldn't use this to hang heavy items like bigger pictures with glass in the frames. After a few tries you will learn how hard to hit the handle to drive the push pin in the drywall. A small hammer (like those that come in a kids tool box) can be used to tap in pins that didn't go quite all the way in if needed.
