BelsonGold-N-Hot Smart Heat Curling Iron 1/2" Ceramic

I discovered this curling iron at Sally's Beauty Supply in 3/4" & 1-1/4" sizes. I was looking for products to help revive my synthetic wigs (shampoo, conditioner, etc.).My wigs were starting to look dusty & ratty. I came across this Smart Heat curling iron on clearance. Even on clearance it was still expensive, but I was desperate.After washing a wig & allowing it to dry, I use this curling iron along with water spray bottle & lite setting lotion to tighten up loose curls. Then I rolled each curl with a curling rod after curling it with the curling iron. I left the curling rods in for over a week. Leaving the curling rods in that long was not my intention. It just worked out that way. Normally, once you have curled a section of hair. Just hold curl in place until it cools. Or use a bobbie pin to hold the curl in place & move on to curl the next section of hair.But when I finally took the rods out...WOW!!!The curls were bouncy, beautiful, and so soft. All frizziness was gone. It was like a new wig...BETTER! I completed the process using "Hawaiian Silky 14-in-1" lotion. It made the wig look even more gorgeous!I love the curling iron so much, I ordered the 1/2" size from Amazon.If you have synthetic wigs that have seen better days, but are still salvageable. Try this curling iron. You won't be disappointed.

This is a replacement/update for my 1" curling iron that I bought several years ago. They also have a great warranty that I have taken advantage of in the past. This curling iron makes perfectly tight ringlets that you can pull looser or pin to be very bouncy. I love the locked heat settings that prevent the temperature from changing accidentally.

Frustrating to use because the barrel clip is not tight enough. Won't grip my hair tightly enough to get a good curl. Sometimes, the grip is so loose that my strand of hair won't stay wrapped. Also, the handle is awkward and clumsy to use. Often, I accidentally hit the lit button while winding, and it shuts off the heat. This is nothing like the Gold-N-Hot Curling Iron I had for many years.
