Limbo Waterproof Cast And Dressing Protector - Half Leg - M80

Looked at a lot of different cast covers. This brand limbo was rated best. It was also one of the most expensive. I bought the lg. When I got it I was concerned it would not be flexible to fit over cast and leg. I am 5’11 240 lbs. however it slipped on easily. I have used it three times now and so far it works perfectly. Just need it to last 4 more weeks. Beats using kitchen garbage bags with duck tape.Follow up used the cover for 6 weeks worth of daily showers. Never leaked and kept its shape. Great product.

I broke my ankle and was in a cast up to my knee. I bought 2 of these protectors and they are great! One was for the shower and the other one for "outdoors-ey" stuff. I hobbled around in my garden and even went boating on the lake. The protectors kept my cast perfectly dry. After 5 weeks of use, they still look brand new. Extremely durable and very easy to put on and take off.I do recommend following the manufacturer's suggestion of wearing a thick sock over your foot (my cast was so thick I only covered the toes). The padding does help the protector slide easily over the hard edges of the cast.

I have needed this item for a long time, having had several foot surgeries complete with a casted foot. I was so tired of doing a bed bath to keep clean. While I was ordering something else on Amazon, I had the idea to just check if there was anything I might use, and lo and behold, there it was...a cast protector. I was so excited to see that it was available and at a reasonable price. I ordered it immediately and I have not been disappointed. It is nice heavy plastic with a very secure top which holds all the water out. I can't believe I have waited so long to search for something like this. I sit down to shower and this totally protects my cast. If I am careful in caring for it, I am sure it will last be a long time. Even if it I accidentally pierce it with my nails, I would order another. At last I can be CLEAN without worrying about getting my cast or post op shoe wet. It is worth its weight in gold. I would definitely encourage anyone with doubts about it to just GET IT! You will not regret it. Thank you so much!

I have a skin condition so rather than a cast, I have a wrapping from my foot up to my knee. I was looking at 3-4 weeks of no showers jut sponge baths. I found this product on Amazon and based on the positive reviews, I purchased it. It works just as advertised. Just follow the easy directions for putting it on. I took a much needed shower and my wrapping came out bone dry. If you have a situation similar to mine, I highlyrecommend this waterproof dressing protector.

Forget about plastic trash bags and duct tape and order this cast cover!! It pulls on easily and the wetsuit-type band at the top completely seals out water/moisture-PERIOD. I put on this cast cover on in about 2 seconds and shower without giving it another thought. Not a single drop has ever gotten to my cast or operative leg. How brilliant that it comes in different sizes and lengths. Material is sturdy vinyl, will last through my recovery for this surgery and my next one later this year. It would easily be worth more than this price. Highly recommend!!

The Limbo cast is easy to use. You can fit it over a large, thick bandage and splint or a cast. Because it runs high on the leg, you have that much more protection from water even if you are wearing a low bandage or cast. You can put it any number of places to dry. While secure, it's not tight or overly fitted. The rubber closer at the top flexes enough that you won't pull off bandages while putting it on or removing it, if you use care.

May have had unrealistic expectations for this product.... I am currently in an Aircast pneumatic boot for a broken ankle. The boot is large and has a pretty harsh angle at the heel. This product did not fit over the boot and so turned out to be useless to me for the time being. I am hanging on to it until after my surgery to see if they wrap me up in a traditional cast. If so, I have high hopes of it working well. I will update this review if I am able to use the product later.Just a warning for others.... it says cast and dressing protector, so don't buy it if you are wearing a large brace or boot!

Very solid product. Good quality and works as advertised.SIZING- if you are about 5'8" or above (I am 5'10") and have a large cast (I have ankle surgery so have a large splint type cast covered in an ace bandage type thing) and need coverage above the knee, order the "full leg" size.While the half leg size indicates it will go over the knee -- which it probably will a regular cast, I am guessing -- the large foot and heal of this cast requires more material so it actually seals or closes below my knee.I used it like that and it still worked, but the seal was just above the top of cast. Doctor told me I needed to have coverage above the knee to be safe. I am guess the full leg will actually just come above the knee in my case.Please bear in mind your height. If you are a woman who is 5'4", there should be no issue at all.

These were recommended by the NHS on a leaflet they gave me. I didn’t fancy using a bin bag & gaffa tape. I was sceptical has it had to go over a lower leg cast & I was wary that the seal would be too tight going over my cast thus causing me pain/discomfort. Be reassured that never happened. It’s easy to get on, I did have assistance from the wife, & the seal at the top is like a rubberised neoprene. Comfy to wear & it does the job. After the shower my cast was still bone dry! Easy to remove & no leg hairs were ripped out. This item is a game changer as it allows you to shower/bath normally .

As soon as I broke my ankle and landed up on crutches for the first time in my life, I decided to look on Amazon for anything which made life easier. I didn't know at the time whether I would be in a cast or boot (transpired an operation and therefore Moonboot for 6 weeks) but wanted to be prepared. The thought of not being able to shower (after 2 days of wet flannels over the sink) was not good. As soon as the leg protector arrived, I sceptically tried it on. Easy Peasy, even when you can only stand on one leg! It didn't get caught and was so simple to use. Not a drop of water penetrated the plastic (of course) and the top was comfortable and sealed completely. I am 5ft 7.5" so worried about size, but the ordering service was easy and ranged from 10st - 16st. I am average build so didn't go for the 'slim' option and although there was plenty of room, it felt better to not have to draw anything over my sore ankle and get it over my leg without touching anything. I've had good use of it for 3 weeks (so roughly £1 a day to use a shower!) but a good thing to keep incase (god forbid) any other broken bones in the family. Prompt easy service and great product.

I bought this following total knee replacement surgery ti enable me to have a shower. This has been my best purchase in a long time. I was able to have a shower on day 3 after surgery and my leg was as dry as a bone.

Really good! I broke my leg in Jan and my greatest fear was not being able to shower properly. This product is 100% waterproof and great quality, I even had a couple of baths with no issue. It’s a little pricy for something you only use for a short number of weeks but WELL WORTH IT!

A little difficult to remove when wet especially for the elderly on their own. But it does keep the dressings dry whilst in the shower.
