Great size press for about 2 mugs of coffee... hard to find these days
Perfect French press for 2. Makes roughly 2 full average size mugs of coffeee. Which is about what I need every morning to transform back into human form. If you’re brewing for one or a single cup couple - this is for you

Our Go-To French Press Coffee Maker
This is a terrific coffee maker--the right size, the right shape, easy to use, easy to clean, and stylish. We use it every morning, and, with not much fuss, it delivers a great cup of coffee every time. One word of caution: when cleaning it, be gentle with the glass, which is sturdy but certainly not indestructible. Bodum manufacturers a range of other coffee makers, but the Kenya is our favorite--and has been for a long time.

Has a more sturdy design than other French Presses I've tried
Just the right size for two full mugs of coffee. Lets minimal amount of grounds through. Has a more sturdy design than other French Presses I've tried.

This french press is all you need.
First of all, this is mostly plastic but that is not a bad thing. I've had multiple french presses, including Bodum ones, that the metal frame eventually scratches the glass beaker some even became rusty. I prefer this plastic frame over a metal one. It feels very sturdy and durable, I'm sure it will last a long time.

I should have paid attention to the poor reviews ...
There are not that many "4-cup" french presses available but for me it the perfect size for one large mug of very strong coffee. My last Bodum Kenya 4-cup is at least 15 years old, still works great but has a little rust where the handle joins the metal part and I am afraid it will break and cover me and half the office in scolding coffee. So I bought this as the nearest replacement. Tried it at home this morning; all was well until I poured the coffee and the glass jug slid away from the plastic case - the heat had made the plastic expand (as other reviews have noted and I should have paid more attention to their reviews). This makes it unusable. Back it goes ...

It's good for 2 of my Mugs.
This is an exact replacement of it's predecessor I coshed accidentally for the very first time ever.I make Tea and Coffee in this. Works fine using properly Ground Coffee & Tea from a real Tea & Coffee Merchant. Not the cheap dust (Fannings) rubbish from SuperMarkets. As expected, I never have Floaters or other unpleasant Bits in my Mouth. In general, it works fine. Like a Teapot with a Filter. Easy to clean. Price? Your call, what's decent quality worth to you?Yeah, you can "save" a few Quid maybe from a cheap Chinese knock-off Merchant on eBay. Is it worth the hassle of it's Bottom falling out on it's second use? This one. No problem. Until you knock it onto the Floor.

Hang on to the pot when pouring
We ordered this having used one at a villa we stayed at in Florida and found it a perfect size for two good size mugs of coffee. Initially it looked good and the glass was a good tight fit within the holder, in fact it was so tight I wasn’t sure it was supposed to come out. All this changes once the glass is filled with hot water as it causes the plastic holder to expand leaving the glass pot loose. Prior to making the first pot of coffee, I filled it with hot water to rinse and warm the pot and as I tipped the water out the glass fell out, luckily into the plastic washing up bowl, had it fallen into the actual sink, I am sure it would have smashed. We now make sure to hold the lid when pouring to ensure the pot stays in place. This didn’t happen with the Bodum we used in Florida.

A good buy.
I have a new love for Bodum products.I bought the 4 cup French press first. Not realising when it claims to be 4 cup, it actually referring to the small coffee cups, bare this in mind when purchasing one. But a four cup does make two good mugs full.So I've upgraded to the eight cup French press for when guests arrive and want a good mug of coffee. It's lightweight, easy to clean, the inner glass is removable for washing. The filter is a metal mesh and wheel. Easy to wash. To take it apart, simply unscrew from the plunger stick base.New mesh filters can be bought fairly cheaply online. Although the mesh doesn't need replacing unless it becomes damaged. The inner glass can be bought as a replacement if you damage yours, as can the complete plunger. My only negative is the lid. When using the plunger, hold onto the lid as it sometimes pops off.

Nice design but a disaster waiting to happen
This pot looks great…but, and it is a big but, the design is disastrous. As soon the pot is filled or is wet, the glass beaker simply shoots out of the plastic holder as soon as it is angled to pour out the coffee. Unless you remember to place a hand on the lid every time, expect to get hot coffee closely followed by the glass beaker falling out at speed onto your work surface. How this has not yet smashed on the times we’ve forgotten I don’t know, but it gives you quite a shock. Similarly, always separate the glass from the holder when putting in the washing up bowl, because if you forget and lift the holder out upside down to put on the drainer, the beaker will drop straight out. Very disappointed with such a poorly designed product from Bodum as there is the potential for someone to be scalded or cut when the glass beaker falls out. How has this ever passed any safety tests?
