It actually worked !!
First off, seller shipped super fast. I just purchased a 2004 Dodge Durango 5.7 Hemi, 16 Spark Plugs and 8 coils, with close to 200,000 miles. Plugs are in deep and the 8 coil boots were awful to remove, 3 broke off. One was on the left side, 2nd plug from the very back, about the worst possible spot. I used what pliers I had but but kept either slipping or ripping the boot in pieces. Purchased this tool and just got done using it, I’m not sure if it worked like it was meant to, but after pushing the OPEN END in twice, I took my pliers and pulled the boot right out, noticed that the pusher tool had SPLIT the boot, making it loose. Now I gotta get out 2 stuck plugs and 1 broke off in the cylinder head.

The dumbest best tool I've bought.
The price is absolutely disgusting but it worked perfectly. Slipped over the spark plug with a stuck ignition coil boot and it popped right off. I tried to take it off myself for over 6 months, even got some extended pliers. They ended up being too long because the cylinders are placed at the back on our 2006 prius. So stupid. But yeah. Worth it if you repair your own things, but its a crazy price.

It works!
I was skeptical when I ordered this tool, but take my word for it "This thing works" Ok $30 bucks is expensive but it is my experience you get what you pay for. I had 4 of the six boots on my grandsons 2009 Ford Flex broke off, 2 in front and 2 in back, it pooped the front 2 right out, the back 2 were much more difficult considering you can not see them. My advice is be persistent! I used a hammer and drove this tool down in till it bottomed out, and guess what it pulled those boots right out. Once you get them out use the shop vacuum to suck any debris out before you pull the sparkplugs. This tool is simple in theory, my word would be "GRIPTION"

Couldn’t have done it without it!
I had the boots come off of the first and third cylinders on a 2005 Toyota Avalon. It is quite possibly the worst spot to get to on the motor. The cylinders are angled back at the firewall and there is no room to work even after removing everything. I bought this tool and it took me a little while but I couldn’t have removed these boots without it. I tried everything! I bought a pick set from Harbor freight. I made my own custom tool that was similar to this one but it was copper. I looked for aluminum tubing in the exact size but was unsuccessful. I finally got the boot off in the 1 cylinder with this tool and a combination of a coat hanger that I sharpened to make a custom pic. The number three cylinder came out much easier once I got some leverage and fully seated this tool Into the boot. It came right off. The first food is all chewed up because I have been picking at it with a pick set. The pin in the other image points to how deep I got the tool into the boot before it came off. Overall this tool was very helpful and I couldn’t have done the job without it. $30 versus however many hundreds of dollars they would’ve charged me at a mechanic.

This tool is fantastic. I work on a fleet of mostly modular engine Ford vans. Sometimes when a boot rips you just can't get to it with right angle, 45 degree angle, double x, or any other type of plier device. Thats when I use this thing, and it works every time. My method used to be to spray massive amounts of lubricant down the spark plug tube and use a blow gun to launch the boot out of the hole, but a few twists and jiggles of this tool and it'll come right out. Definitely something a mechanic should have in case the inevitable happens.

buy it!
Life saver. I've worked on several engines, hemis, triton, and alot of old csrbursted engines. Got a new excursion with a v10 and needed a tune up. The coil boot was mangled. I messed with it for over 2 hours with needle nose and a pick. Finally googled what to do and this came up. It arrived today and it took less than 3 minutes to get the old boot out. Well worth the money for the time it saved.

It Works as Described
I spent 2 hours trying to remove a boot stuck on a sparkplug in a 2010 Toyota Corolla using hooks, needle nose pliers, and wire. I searched for a tool and saw the Ripped Spark Plug Boot Remover and almost balked at the price, but ordered it after I read the reviews. I received the tool and removed the stuck boot in about 2 minutes with no damage to the spark plug.
