Used these to replace a longer set that my camper shell came with. Needed a slightly reduced lift height, shorter length strut, with a high weight capacity. These worked great and hopefully last a long time.

Worked excellent for this as our 21’ Jayco Travel Trailer did not have this factory installed. No more wooden prop rod hassles.

The brackets can go in multiple configurations and only one way is correct, however the instructions don't show which way to attach them so it's a guessing game if you're new to these

I bought these and they do not compress it all they're broken. I waited too long to try and install them and I can't return them. Some struts have a screw fitting where you can let out some of the gas so they can compress more easily. These do not. Do not buy.

They worked great to hold up my deck boxes for storing my outdoor cushions

Don't know if the ones that I received were defective, but returned them.We put over 100 lbs pressure on each and could not get them to compress.

The media could not be loaded.  All you need to know 😂Anyway. Love it! Works great, opens so much wider than the stock one allows! To install it on my 2017 dodge grand caravan, I had to add 3 washers together behind the right braket on the bottom of the strut to lower it. So when I close it, it won't touch the bottom of the hood. About 6 mm. Sorry didn't measure. If you want to buy it for the same car. Telling you. Don't even try to do it on the right side (driver side). It works fine holding the hood alone. Do it on the passenger side. So much more space there! If needed. Do it like in the video. The hole was too big on the side bottom and I had to go to general store to find big enough washers and some bolts and lock nuts for them. I also used left on top and right bracket on bottom of the strut. Because the right one is better on the bottom. Allows the hood to be more open by going towards the back of the car a little bit. Don't know what else to add!
