I gave up buying brand name ink years ago. Brand name ink is very expensive. We use it because we are afraid that the warranty on our printers will be no good. With the price of brand name ink, I can afford to buy a new printer if the generic ink causes a problem. Its never happened to me.

Our Brother printer doesn't recognize the generic cartridge so when we call up the print app it shows the cartridges I replaced as "?". Which is annoying but does not affect the printing.
