I have had this about a month. It came early and was packaged well.I like it. The board is quite nice with no imperfections and a good finish. It opens and closes well with magnets and it is square, true, and quiet. Nicely made. The piece storage is secure and functional.The pieces themselves are a little smaller and lighter than I had hoped but are the correct size for the board and also show attention to detail.This board scores high with me because it looks great in the living room as a permanent fixture but it would also travel well. You would just need some cloth to protect the finish, as one was not provided.I played chess as a kid but haven't owned a board or even played in forever. One night I thought "Hey...I bet Amazon has a million chess boards and I think I want one!"I love this board. Glad I bought it.

Perfect beginner set!
We bought this for our grandson so his grandpa could teach him chess. He picked it up so quickly, it was a bit scary! lol. The set really is built well and attractive, as well. Portable and well contained.

Completely cracked from dryness within a few weeks
I was so excited to find a chessboard on line that had all the features I wanted for wooden, nice peices, size, portability, storage and was magnetic. I live in Colorado, a very dry climate. Within a week of Christmas when the chessboard was gifted, it began to crack. Now two months later, it is a mess --- completely ruined with cracks and will soon be unusable.I wish the seller would have warned buyers about this. Sehr schönes Schachspiel mit Mängeln
Das Spiel hatte zwei Macken, eine davon war mit etwas Geschick (und etwas Angst) zu beheben.Das Brett lies sich nicht vollständig öffnen und hatte insbesondere auf einer Seite noch einen Spalt, wenn man es hinstellte.Durch sehr vorsichtiges Aufbiegen vor dem Bauch mit nicht unerheblicher Kraft war das zu beseitigen - schlechte Fertigung, aber jetzt, durch risikobehaftete Nacharbeit, passt alles perfekt.Aufgebaut sieht das Spiel wirklich so perfekt aus wie auf den Abbildungen.Die zweite Macke ist wirklich ärgerlich und nicht zu beheben - die Magnetkraft insbesondere einiger Figuren ist so schwach, dass sie schon bei einem leichteren Winkel rutschen.Ich überlege, das Spiel deswegen zurückzuschicken - mal sehen.

Very impressed with the build and finish, was a present for my dad after he watched queen's gambit (thinks he's kasparov now) but he likes it and works great.

Prodotto robusto e bello,meriterebbe 5 stelle ma il colore e la finitura sono assai diverse rispetto alla foto con qui viene pubblicizzato;ho cercato per ore proprio il colore giusto,questo sembrava perfetto ma la foto e ingannevole,per questi soldi compravo due scacchiere con finiture discrete come questa,e una sorta di clickbait
