Good
Needed someone to edit a bit but an otherwise very enjoyable story. Characters were very interesting.

good Amish story of love that unites one another, even if not a family member
Another great story, that pulls you In from the first page to the last. The depth of emotion and hardship that Raven had to endure was so well written.Yet, it made her , a gift to others. For the love she had within, to help others, that had no family. Was very touching. Giving us a good in site, of whatThe Amish mean to truly forgive someone. The books and training she needed to be Amish, was also very interesting. Great book for young and old. Will bring a smile to your face as you read. Of the trip to Appleton and then to the Amish country, that Raven takes.

Food for thought
A charming Christian story about on a soul being lost then being found. Clean story with a lot of Amish overtones about forgiveness. The clue is a doll. Heartfelt story. Loved it. As I said it is food for thought.

Great characters.. Second chances.
The characters are well developed and believable.Several characters take advantage of the second chances. Mom, Susanna, with health issues. Eb with drink, forgiveness, and faith. Marilyn after the fire. Each of the boys in their own way. Of course, our heroine too. Lottie is well.... you will see.4stars. Several typos and grammatical errors.Spoiler alert: my favorite part is what is found under the doll's boot

Minus one star for grammatical errors.
Would have given it five stars if the grammar/typos weren't so numerous. Too many times I had to go back to figure out what it should have said. It does break the spell of the story to have to stop to figure things out.

Captivating
I started this book not truly knowing what I would be thinking of feeling while reading this book. Many times I had to stop and think about how my life has been changed by having the same values and principles as the Amish. I believe God can heal all things. I try to give him all my worries to take care of them, they are small to him while huge to me.

Wunderbar!
What a deeply refreshing story. Covered many avenues including love, foster care, adoption, struggles without God and life with God. It was a little too predictable but I loved it anyway.

No knitting pattern
story was great as I expected of this author. Disappointed no knitting pattern just the usual recipes. Weak beginning going quickly from non christian to full believer but gets stronger story line after that

A wholesome read.
Somewhat predictable storyline, but an interesting and wholesome read. An opportunity to learn more about the Amish way of life. This is a story where simple goodness triumphs in the end. Pleasant, but if you are looking for a novel to have you on the edge of your seat with nail biting tension then this is not it.

Easy reading
Easy reading nice story but a bit too much of a religious vibe for me to read any of the sequels.
