Herico Horchata, 1.25 Pound (Pack of 10)

After reading many reviews of many Horchata mixes, I settled on Herico Horchata (pronounced or-CHATA) instant mix. I fell in love with this drink from local Mexican restaurants, and couldn't get enough of this delicate cinnamon flavored rice milk. This mix has a little nonfat dried milk in it, but it stayed good in my refrigerator over 10 days! It has real sugar, and not the artificial sweeteners that I'm trying to stay away from. I understand that it is great for upset tummies and hangovers. I'll let you know the next time that I tie one on. The Herico Horchata mix from Victorian Inn is straight from the Company. If it is from Amazon, I truly hope that they get their ducks in a row, because they repeatedly sent me the wrong product. And why the price change, I don't have a clue. In 4 days it went from $43+ to $46+ and then the ones that I finally got direct from Victorian Inn were $41+ but not eligible for Prime. But they arrived in two days, anyway! Don't get me wrong, Amazon refunded my money on the other products I received, after several telephone calls. And gave me a $5 credit on my next purchase. For my trouble... But they still haven't got back to me on why they kept sending me coffee. Which I don't drink. Bottom line. Everyone that I've handed a glass of the Horchata to has loved it. And I'm thoroughly addicted! Don't fool with the "what ifs" of the other products. This is the Horchata closest to Mama's recipe from my local Mom & Pop Mexican Restaurant. Without going through all the fuss and wait of making it from scratch. And you can't beat the price! I love it and I hope that you will, too.

I was fiending hard for horchata and attempted to make my own from scratch. It came out okay, but cost a fair amount of money and time, and I ended-up burning-out my blender in the process of pulverizing rice. So, I tried this based on its good reviews and have been extremely happy with it. It even tastes better than the recipe I used! You’ll probably want a gallon (or larger) container to store it in, as each bag needs a gallon of water, and it should be something you can easily shake/stir to bring the stuff up from the bottom before pouring. It’s best over ice with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top! Delicious!

Taste similar to the stuff you get at restaurants the only thing I ended up doing is adding some vanilla extract to it

This stuff is wicked delicious....I cant get enough.....so tasty and refreshing. Im happy to admit im a herico horchata addict and i want others to share my addiction. Join me in horchata heaven.

Just no, we usually buy the Horchata from Rice Dream and decided to try this one. Aside from the laundry list of chemicals inside, it doesn't mix well and continuously settles to the bottom. It's pasty and powdery even after mixing it well. Flavor is not bad but certainly not as good as other brands. Rice Dream is more expensive but well worth the extra cost.

This is a very good horchata. It doesn't have the cinnamon bear or strange fake cinnomon taste that some horchatas do. This is one of the best horchatas I have tried ( and I have tried a lot).
