It's great! I had a previous one
It's great! I had a previous one, and gave my dog so much freedom to go outside and come inside the apartment. I moved to a new flat, so had to buy it again. I installed it on a window, and it totally works ! You just need to find the right people to get it installed properly. Happy dog and happy mom!

Installation things...
A nice door with a few issues others pointed out. I have a lot of hole saws, but today I realized I don't own a metric set. I adjusted the location points for the difference in diameters, but that would be a pain for normal people who may not own any hole saw sets. I used a scroll saw to make the cuts nice and clean following the template, but the screw holes still need to go through the door. Had to remove and pre-drill those to get it to line up nice. The draft control flap fortunately pops off, otherwise it's way too noisy. Mine is on an exterior grade door between the kitchen and the garage, so that isn't a need I had anyway. Finally, the unit had to be trimmed down for my door thickness, which is a standard exterior door. Not a huge deal for me as I have snips that will make a uniform cut the right depth, but would have been a return otherwise. It is unlikely I could have cut that thin plastic without cracking using a saw. Once installed, it is a nice looking door.

Loud flap, which also faces the wrong way
The door seems fairly standard, except for a few notable points not really mentioned elsewhere.First and foremost, it's loud. I bought this hoping to replace an existing loud door, only to find this is just as loud. The noise comes from the 'windstopper' flap, which bangs loudly several times when it falls back into position. It could be a benefit if you want to know when your dog comes in and out each and every time, at any time of the day or night, but I'd prefer not to. The main flap itself is quiet, but after spending a while experimenting with some rubber strips, there's no easy way to muffle the sound of the wind flap, without creating a gap that compromises its job of trying to reduce airflow through the main door.Second, and the reason I won't end up using the door, and I should have picked up on when buying it (though more obvious when I look at the pictures again), is that the door flap is positioned on the inside of the door. So from the outside, you see the tunnel section. I can immediately see it getting filled with leaves and dirt that gets blown into the door, and more oddly in design choice, because of the way it faces, a strong gust of wind could blow the door and wind flap open, because it faces the wrong way (compared to if it was on the outside, where wind would blow the flap into the frame, this would blow away from the frame)...of course because of the four way locking mechanism (which did look like it'd work nicely) you couldn't get away with flipping the install so the door was on the outside. It also means the screws for assembly (which I note were metal, unlike some other brands) are on the outside, rather than more securely on the inside. The installation guide was a bit light on detail, which I could see being a problem for someone with limited experience installing, but for me, I'll be finding another door to buy that's much quieter and faces outside.

Not the quality I expected for the price.
My wife ordered this pet door because of the positive reviews. I noticed that none of the reviews mentioned anything about installation except one person said to have the right person to install it. I guess I am not the right person. First off the quality of the plastic seems cheap for the price paid. Then I installed it in a door that was an inch thick and it didn't come with the right length screws. One set was too long and the other too short I had to get the right length from a hardware store. Also one nut plate had a manufacturing defect and wouldn't engage the screw threads, so I had to disassemble the flap frame to replace it. I did finally get the Ferplast Cat and Dog Swing 11 mounted and it does work, but if I had it to do over again I would look for a different brand of pet door.
