These are impressive
I am not a fan of Earphones because they are usually not as comfortable as Headphones (over and on-ear). I had to make an exception because I wanted some good earphones to see if I can get more from my Flac/320mbps mp3 files. I have Hi-res Headphones but they are not suitable when I am out on the streets or commuting.Due to the impressive reviews, I thought I give these a try. I am happy I did as they have lived up to the hype and have met if not exceeded my expectations. The clarity is almost irreproachable. These have very good instrument separation almost as good as some of my high-end Hi-res Wired Headphones. I have had them for a several weeks now and I have been comparing them to various Headphones in my collection. I did not expect the amount of bass they are capable of dishing out considering earphones have tiny drivers I am impressed with them. The Player I use is a Hi-res Sony Walkman. These even sound better than some of the Headphones that are twice more expensive than they are, so I think that makes them better value for the money.

Mature sound, very adaptable, beautiful looking IEM
I've had these for a wee while now, but wanted to truly get a good sense of their sound before i gave feedback. In a nutshell you get a trendy, fashionable earphone with sound that can play multi genres... and play them well.About myself first. I LOVE earphones... I've over 130 sets. They range in price from the budget £10, up to over £350. I research earphones properly thru reviews and my success rate is high. i think this gives me some experience when offering feedback, which i choose to be as honest as I can. We all hear differently and have different ears... what I hear may not be what you hear. Same with fit. Same with tips.Packaging & AccessoriesSee my pics. These come in a lovely box and come supplied with a beautiful white zip pouch and I must say, I really like the custom tips that come with these. They are a high quality silicone... super comfy.Build & Aesthetics & FitThey are as beautiful as they look in the pictures. These are very fashionable. Young people who like to look good top to bottom would enjoy wearing them. I have the blue pair, which to be honest are a more cyan colour. Check my pics.Build wise they are pretty unique, I've only a few pairs that match them for looks. They may look BIG, but they're pretty average going by recent earphone sizes. They are also very light, but they are sturdy. I've put pressure on them and they are strong enough and i don't have any worries they'll break anytime soon. I've enver had a problem with fit and I have very small ears. I've wore them out and about and never had them fall out. One tiny negative would be some noise in the cable, but I've sets much more expensive with the same issue. It's far from annoying. They have a reflective 'mirror' surface which is very striking and gives them a premium aesthetic. Like i said, they are very trendy looking. Teenagers and young adults looking for something that goes well with modern fashion and clothing will like the fact they are unique and will surely get compliments. I'm late 30s and I enjoy wearing them out and have been asked many times where i got them from colleagues and friends.SoundFor me this is the most important facet of any earphone or headphone. If I was to sum up the TUNAI PIANO I'd say it's got a mature sound that will play any genre you throw at it and play them well. Normally when you get an earphone that can adapt so well to different styles you are looking at a neutral or quite flat sound. Would I say they are neutral... probably not, but there is balance. There is definitely a little colour in their tuning to give it a laid back feel and to take away any fatigue from shrill or piercing treble. i really like it. If I could break it down...BassThis is really a highlight of the PIANO. You'd be mistaken by reading the description that bass was second to the rest of the frequency... you'd be very wrong. The PIANO has strong bass when it's required. If the song has it, the PIANO will play it. Listen to rock or modern pop, EDM and you get a satisfying kick with good sub bass depth, very nice air that can have a woofer like quality. Listen to jazz and you get to hear quick musical notes that spring to attention, hearing the strong being plucked on the cello. Decay is also a strong point. Many earphones around the same price point will either have a deep, heavy sub bass... or a more balanced, lighter, quicker response. The PIANO does both when needed. There is also no bleed thru in to the mids.MidsFirst thing that will stand out is the amount of detail the TUNAI PIANO can bring out. It's very pleasing hearing notes, vocals, nuances that you haven't heard before. If you are coming from a cheaper set that came with your phone, or a Sennheiser or Beats then you'll have a big grin hearing the PIANO... hours later you'll still be revisiting older songs on your playlists. I've many earphones that are detailed, many that are 3 or 4 times the price of the PIANO and I can tell you that the PIANO really excel in this department. Fortunately though they've stayed away from that clinical, overly analytical tuning that can 'push' detail or throw it at you aggressively. No, the mids are lovely and warm, silky smooth. TUNAI have been very clever here. You may think that warm and smooth means an overly laid back or safe sound, but the PIANO can be lively and upbeat too. Rock guitars, pianos, drums can sore and even metal, dance can have that aggression the music relies on. Vocals too are just heavenly. The emotion and articulation in the lead vocal is just lovely. There is a euphoric quality to your favourite singers. I've never felt vocals get lost in the mix or trampled upon by other instruments. Lastly, mids are very musical. They can really bring out the melody in music and big ballads, jazz or acoustic music is a joy to kick back to.TrebleThere is a very good cross over from upper mids to treble. For me there is just enough brightness. i prefer a laid back treble. That doesn't mean they're missing anything or dulling over certain instruments, there is still very good extension. It is smooth though. That will most likely please the majority though. Detail once again is very good. i find instruments like cymbals, strings very life like, very organic. Drums have very nice snap and attack.SoundstageVery good. I particularly like hearing rock harmonies and soaring keyboards floating around and outside my head. The PIANO has just the right amount of air pushing thru the whole sound top to bottom. it really helps separate instruments, giving them their own place in the spectrum. Stereo imaging is high calibre. The smoothness keeps sibilance at bay so no painful "s" sounds making you want to pull them out your ears. Large orchestras have good width and with the detail in the mids and treble you really can identify and single out instruments. Opera can be very emotional if that is your music of choice as vocals really stand out front when needed.SpeedOne last thing I'd like to point out is the PIANO has great pacing. What i mean is music really flows as it should, there is very good sense of rhythm.ComparisonsThese days in the £30-£70 category you are looking at a very good standard of earphone, in particularly sound. Smaller Asian brands are pumping out new earphones every week. If you go to Head-Fi or any other popular site you'll be hit with a vast amount of choices and options coming at you from all angles. What i like about the PIANO is it's very unique make-up. It has a Ceramic Plate Driver and large 13mm driver. TUNAI have cleverly identified this type of build as it is going to be more popular i feel in the future. The ceramic drivers have a very controlled and detailed tuning. The sets I have in my collection all have great lifelike mids and a very BIG sound. By this i mean a large, accurate soundstage. Music has great scale and a wide stretch in the head space. The 13mm driver gives the TUNAI especially accurate bass. I really enjoy the way it can be deep and powerful, and then elastic and nimble depending on the music.Others using ceramic drivers are Senfer DT6, Artiste DC 1 and I've also a rare Rosewill EX500. The advantage these have over the PIANO is price. The advantage the PIANO has is it's mature, premium sound. The PIANO is just that bit more enjoyable to listen to and is definitely the trendier more fashionable option. The only advice i could give to TUNAI for future releases is a touch more brightness in the upper mids and treble and a better cable. Price is high, but those looking at the PIANO will be looking at it's gorgeous shell and beautiful build, something that will look good hanging around with friends or look good out in town or at clubs. The fact it also sounds so good is the icing on the cake.
