At first I wasn't sure about this feeder but so far it's actually kind of nice. I didn't expect to see the Jays getting the peanuts too from the feeder but that is ok because I was feeding them as well. However, the Jays are faster at getting the peanuts than the squirrels are. Lol. The Jays get the peanuts from the bottom of the glass where there is a small space. The squirrels open the lid. They are both pretty smart critters. I have to make sure to clean out the peanuts by the time nighttime falls because I don't want it to attract rats and mice.

Put this up on our back fence three days ago. First, it doesn't look like the squirrels will be able to access the nuts inside, but to our surprise they manage to reach inside.Our downside is that, they haul the content away to store somewhere so the feed is empty quickly and almost everyday.

The mounting screws are too small and the pre-drilled holes (side by side) should be one over the other.

Small squirrels unable to raise the plexiglass high enough to get the peanuts out. The hole in the plexiglass isn't big enough. I had to try and prop the plexiglass up by putting a twig in the side so the glass wouldn't slide all the way down. Still working on a fix.

I use peanuts in the feeder and love watching the squirrels climb up the tree 🌳 and grab some peanuts 🥜.They have no trouble accessing the food. You do have to use something larger like shelled nuts or the food will fall out.

It needs a larger opening for the nuts.

I previously gave this item a fair rating. That was a mistake as I had ordered two different feeders. This product deserves a five star rating. It came fully assembled. All I had to do was nail it to the tree and fill it. It took the squirrels a few days to find it, but once they did, they are there several times a day!

Well made. We filled it with peanuts and the squirrels have no trouble getting into the top. Nice unit.

The in had a kid that didn’t close all the way. Had to tape the plastic at the front because squirrels just pulled it out. Would work better if plastic on front was sturdier and hole was bigger at bottom and lid attached to plastic to keep it closed .

Good sturdy squirrel feeder but unfortunately the squirrels have destroyed it within a matter of weeks. I think a metal feeder would be better.

Cheap material, poorly made, top broke the first week, never purchase again. Not worth a dollar.
