Awesome once you know how to use it! (I included instructions)
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This really does quite a bit once you know how to use it. I put together an instruction video (kind of long... sorry... I do however go over every feature). The instruction manual didn't help me much but fortunately this seems to be very similar to other laser distance meters, so I was able to figure out how to use it from various Youtube videos. Here is what this can do: Measure distance from one point to another (like a tape measure). Measure area. Measure volume. Measure height. Measure distance from one point to another (like the distance from a window to the top of the building). Measure height if you are on a hill. The great thing about this is it is super easy and quick to use. Measuring the area of my condo literally took only seconds (I have a very rectangular condo). The backlit display makes this super easy to read.Compared to other tools that do the same thing, I think this is a really great deal. I am happy I got this one. Bonus: this unit only requires two AAA batteries and they are included.

Beyond My Expectations
This so-called entry-level laser distance measuring device performs beyond my expectations. When I shopped around for this kind of tool, I was disappointed to note that many models did decimal measurements only, as in 12.3 feet. Indeed, from what I could tell by the description, this one was the same, but I decided to get it for its other features.Long story short, the TackLife 60M reports distances in six ways. You can do a measurement and then click through for the reporting style of our choice. For example: 26' 11 9/16" or 26.97" or 8.219m or 8.22m (rounded) or 323.6" or 323 9/16". Unlike some other models, the 60M remembers the reporting style you chose last, instead of defaulting to meters each time you turn it on.The 60M means that it will measure up to 60 meters. It includes a four-line display for showing the dimensions as you measure for area or volume. A memory button saves your entries. If you want a powerful, inexpensive, homeowner or semi-pro laser distance measurer, I highly recommend the TackLife 60M.

EASY TO USE AND VERY ACCURATE
We use Bosch and Dewalt lasers but needed an extra as the office was always fighting over them. Both previously mentioned lasers work great but cost considerably more. I decided to take a chance on the Tacklife since it was only to be used as an extra but was very pleasantly surprised by its quality and accuracy. It's easy to use and works perfectly at a very attractive price when compared to its competition. The only reason I elected to give 4 stars instead of 5 is because the numbers are a bit small compared to others. Luckily my vision is still good but I imagine it could be hard to read otherwise.

OK for the price
Instructions are in pseudo-English, so maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it's off by 1/8" in a 5' measurement, which is unacceptable. Self-calibration procedure doesn't work as described, so I can't calibrate it.Update: I bought a similar product (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0757N2GXC/) to see how they compared, suspecting (correctly, as it turned out) that they were identical internally. But between the two of them, I was able to decode the instructions and calibrate them both (they were both off by the identical amount). But the Morpilot version came with a target plate and a pair of red glasses, and was a couple bucks cheaper, so is (IMHO) a better buy.

A Great Gift!
A gift for my Engineer son, we immediately set about to determine the accuracy of this device, using a metal yardstick to gauge distance to a wall. The results were within 1/16 of an inch, and that was to textured wallboard. The texture varied that much! This thing is accurate. The zero baseline can be adjusted to coincide with the top OR bottom surface, allowing for inside and outside measurements. Displayed units can be changed from metric to the actually useful units of feet, inches, and fractions of inches. Their new puppy loved to chase the laser, so be careful around animals.

Not Terrible for the Price
Not sure why bad reviewers are using this thing for construction measurements... I assumed when I bought the thing that it shouldn't be used for those types of applications where precision is very important. I wish it was usb-rechargeable and included threading to mount to a tripod though. The laser can be really shaky when you try to do the pythagorean stuff in mid air.I use it for getting general wall-to-wall measurements for 3D reconstructions and it seems to be accurate to an inch or two... I may just need to do calibration, which this product allows. All the pythagorean measurement stuff seems kind of hit or miss, and gives me an "Error 5" a lot when I do them. It's worth noting that as of the time of this writing, fakespot.com doesn't give a very good score for the legitimacy of this product's reviews. It's an "F"

Inaccurate
As soon as I took it out of the box I got my tape measure out to test the accuracy of it. I measured 2' away on a level surface to a perfectly plumb object with my tape measure and the laser measure side-by-side. The laser measure was off by a few inches. I then messed around with the calibration on the laser measure. I spent about 30 minutes trying to get an accurate 2' reading. The closest I got was 2'-1/8 inches. After I got that 2'-1/8 inch reading, I measured it twice more (positioning the laser level exactly the same) and got 2 different measurements after that. Dirt product. If you want a laser measure that is an 8th of an inch off or more at only 2', knock yourself out.

must have
this thing is dead on. I have hit almost 160' easily with this thing and it maybe only off by an 1" at that range. closer readings, its dead on. the red dot is huge and super easy to see in broad daylight actually. I have hit trees, curbs, signs, metal siding, and even office cubicles with out any problems yet.super easy to use and way better than the bosch the company uses and my old craftsman that struggled to hit anything within 100'. and its cheap too

Partner loves it
Being a birthday gift for my partner, I had to wait to review until it was opened and put to use . It was immediately researched and studied. A great gift for anyone with building projects and loves a utilitarian gadget.

poco error en grandes dimensiones
Bastante difícil medir cuando hay mucho sol, pero funciona muy bien si te sirves de trucos como poner sombra sobre la tarjeta de medición para poder apuntar bien.
