New Authentic Brass Irish Feadog Key "D" Penny Whistle

This is a great fun product. It is comfortable in the mouth and the sound is fine. It is a good value to take along with you anywhere you go. I just wish it came with a protective case rather than a flimsy plastic box.

I have been playing flutes for almost three years and also make flutes from bamboo, metal, and pvc plastic..this new flute would not play clear notes out of the box..I have over 33 years as a toolmaker and have a lot of experience working with metal, glass, and plastics. The flute was made from brass with the playing holes punched out with a press and dies..no problem there..however there were burrs on the inside barrel from the punching that had to be hand worked off. After that the flute played much better..however the top two holes were way out of tune and will need a lot of fine tuning to play well. The product needs a lot more quality control on each whistle to be sure that each one plays as good as they advertise so that the buyers will not get disappointed from not knowing what is going on when they try to play the flute. A well made and in tune flute will play very crisp and clear right out of the box..this one did not..and still will not play clear.

This item was great for the price. I play flute and was picking this up for a children's musical that I was involved in. It's harder than it seems. This whistle is a great product though!

This is an incredibly low quality whistle for $40. Do not purchase.

I love this whistle! I bought this for mydaughter who is all into Irish Culture. She loves it! The fingering is really easy and she learned the D scale within 2 minutes. If you know the D scale, you can play most songs on this whistle.
