Outlaw Thrush Stuff 8oz New Formula no Gentian Violet no Iodine

This stuff works as it should! For mild-moderate thrush in the sulci and sole. I also find that it doesnt sting the sensitive horses like thrush buster does. I have one who flinches if I use thrush buster do I tried hoofflex. She didnt flinch at it but it did not work as well as Outlaw.I only have to use outlaw every other day or after a hard rain, where as hoofflex I would have to use daily to combat the rains.My only advice for improvement would be to make it a bit thicker (I have no clue how) so it would "stick" a little better. Usually I just hold the horses hoof upside down for several seconds to let it seep in before letting gravity seep it out. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I’m told bleach does very well, peroxide, iodine as well at fighting thrush. I’ve used this product and it’s not clear to me if it’s any better than the aforementioned. It does however seem to have been making a difference in the hooves, slowly, gradually seeing a difference in the hooves of our horse “Goldie”, they seem they are hardening in the areas which were once softer, she’s been fighting thrush for some time now... Too watery so much gets wasted! Seemed to work okay, but the much smaller bottle of the original (purple) thrush buster last LONGER.. Doesn't seem to stain as bad, but it's literally the consistency of water. I will not purchase again.

This thrush treatment is effective, economical and does not seem to be as staining as Thrush Buster. I agree with other reviewers in wishing that the consistency was a bit thicker or "gel-like" so that it would adhere to the hooves rather than dripping right off. My boy is pretty good about allowing me to hold his hoof upright so that the product soaks in.

Didn't work a bit for me. My ferier recommended dry cow, it is hard to find but I am so glad I did. Dry cow cleared up what this stuff couldn't do in two months in literally days!!!

This got rid of thrush off a 24 year old gelding who is diabetic. He always seems to have hoof problems, we expect that with his diabetes. It’s nice that it doesn’t stain the cement in the barn if you wash it away soon. It does stain skin, but is worth it because it doesn’t stink or sting. We used it everyday until it cleared up now one or twice a week.

Thanks use this product about 2-3 times a week for maintenance of my barefoot horse’s hooves. I use it for mild thrush and to prevent thrush. I like it because it doesn’t dry the hooves out.
