The Pursuit of God: Updated Edition with Study Guide

This is probably the most powerful, thought provoking book about Gods love that I have ever read. It’s so deep that it’s a book I will read over and over and over just to truly be able to comprehend it. The authors’s understanding of God’s ways is truly awe inspiring. I’m completely moved and inspired by Tozer’s knowledge and relationship with the Creator of everything in the world. Tozer is a blessing to all those who are trying to further their understanding of The Almighty One.

This book was a very good read.

We chose this book to do with our Bible study group. The book itself is incredibly well written and offers insight, elaborating on biblical teachings. The study guide provides questions at the end of each chapter that are thought provoking and brought great conversation! Highly recommend doing this study!

Thought questions in the back of each chapter were great for a small group discussion.

Read this book if you want to make an eternal impression for both this life and beyond.Spoiler alert.While the pursuit is not physically exhausting it is spiritually challenging .

Nice study on pursuing and living For God. This would be a resource for church/Bible studies, as the end of chapter study questions can reflect more of what others have read.The good: Biblical and allows you to study the Word and reflect on your own walk with God. Again a good resource to come back to.The not so good: The writings of Tozer sometimes takes some getting used to, as his use of the English language is a little rough or hard to understand. The publisher could have done a better job of editing grammar, punctuation to make it easier to read, as at times, it could read as a run on sentence.There was some controversial opinions, but nothing overall to detract from the entire study. And hey, you're not going to agree 100 percent with everything.

I first read this book as a new Christian many years ago. I was challenged to live a life of deeper intimacy with God. Since that time, I have re read it at least 3 other times and every time I'm challenged anew. I've given it away, led groups using it, seen lives changed besides my own through this classic.
