Werther's Original New Soft Caramels 2.22 Oz (63g) (6 Pack)

I don't know why Kraft stopped making caramels, but given that it did, Werther's is the best buy as it is softer than any caramels I have found, and the 6 Pack is a good buy.

I use these in baking to make oatmeal caramel cookies.Two approaches (both using the dough from oatmeal raisin cookies, sans raisins):1) Chop them up like chips. Dust them in flour as you chop to prevent them from sticking. Problem: they stick to the baking sheet, so I have to use my silicone bench scraper to work them loose.2) Cut them into larger pieces (a half to a third of a single candy) and wrap each cookie around each piece, so that the interior has a caramel surprise.The hassle, of course, is unwrapping them. But Werther's couldn't sell a bag of unwrapped soft caramels, because they stick to each other.The other problem is not eating too many of them while unwrapping.

These are the best caramels for baking. Unless I need a giant block of caramel, which I do prefer for large batches of chocolate candy and caramel apples, I always use Werthers. They melt so much better than Kraft caramels and have a much better flavor and texture.

Weathers soft caramels are absolutely delicious. I love them so much better than the chewy caramels because they are harder. These soft Caramels are so much easier on my teeth.

My other half loves these things. I think they're good but too pricey & the last time I ordered them there was a tear in one bag but no biggie. I buy these for him bcuz I love him... do I love these..meh.. they're ok..
