HILL'S PRESCRIPTION DIETk/d Kidney Care Beef & Vegetable Stew Wet Dog Food, Veterinary Diet, 12.5 oz. Cans, 12-Pack

My dog has been placed on Kidney care dry food and I was looking for a corresponding canned product to add to his meals. The starter pack was a great way to try the various canned products (and dry) with one purchase. I am very pleased and now know which ones he likes the most.

The new Stew has been a game changer for my picky dog. She now looks forward to eating again. The consistency of the product mixes very well with any kibble. The loaf type is almost rubbery and doesn't mix well nor does my dog like it. I know just have to put a couple scoops of this with her K/D kibble and she eats it. Will be ordering this from now on.

The vet ran test on my fur baby & diagnosed her with kidney issues then gave us an RX for Hills Diet KD. We ran straight to find this special food but the prices are CRAZY EXPENSIVE. I purchased a couple of cans, got home & sweet Bella turned up her nose at it. While surfing the web I found this sample pack- a true life saver 🙌 With these samples of canned & dry kibbles in different flavors I was able to narrow down exactly what she liked before making another wasted purchase. This is definitely worth purchasing.

This is a more affordable option for dogs with kidney disease who must try different foods until they find something they like. Unfortunately, it's a hit-or-miss process. My dog didn't like the kibble at all, but she was OK with some of the wet food flavors (and we got more). I wish smaller cans were provided instead of the large ones. I think that would be helpful for smaller breeds. It's a good sampler in the search for food your dog with kidney disease might eat.

Your pet will love it!!! They have to eat right for a longer life.

Our 13 year-old Chihuahua/terrier mix had to have all of his teeth pulled because they were in bad shape. The vet also said he had moderate kidney issues. It took him a couple days to get used to this food but it has made a huge difference in his quality of life! Even with no teeth, he eats fine. Dogs adapt to not having teeth. He even found a way to eat the Milk Bone 5 calorie treats we've always given him. No more weepy eyes/crusties. His eyes are brighter, he's acts healthier, his coat stays clean, his fur around his mouth doesn't stain like it used to. We'll be sticking with this diet.

Package was dropped, two cans opened had to throw away, other than that delivery was good.

Great quality food and much cheaper than buying it per can at the pet store. My Dalmatian loves it and the food lasts forever if stored properly.
