I used this at the beach and it's great. Very easy to screw into the ground and holds a beach umbrella securely in place, even with strong wind gusts. I like that it has it's own carrying bag so not to get sand all over the car.

It doesn't go in very easy and really doesn't dig in either . Bad design but great idea.

I can't wait to use this USA Sand Anchor at the beach in Hilton Head this summer!!! It's made out of strong PVC pipe and it states it will withstand winds up to 60 MPH. The anchor helps keep the umbrella erect, preventing it from blowing away with the wind, is very lightweight, and fits perfectly into the accessory beach bag. The stake is large and meant for a good, large beach umbrella which is a plus for me since our family vacation consists of a total of 19 adults and children and we need as large an umbrella as we can find. lol Also, I am very fair skinned and we have 4 toddlers and a baby so we need a good shaded area to keep us out of the direct sun. Other anchors we've purchased during vacation were not very user friendly but it states that this one has a spring like screw that makes it easy to screw into the sand. You simply turn the stake into the sand, and the top knob helps tighten the umbrella to the stake. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that is a correct statement! lol The 15" PVC screw like spring ensures stability for your umbrella and a deeper dig, so you can enjoy your time at the beach especially when the afternoon winds start to pick up, allowing you to enjoy the nice shade and cool breeze for the whole day. This Beach Umbrella Sand Anchor is much sturdier than I had anticipated. I have been highly impressed with the performance and the strength of this. We have a rather large beach umbrella that doesn't do well with some sand anchors...especially if there is a bit of wind.I have not made it out to the beach yet, but I did test this out in our preschool's sandy playground. I was able to "screw" the anchor in very easily. I put our umbrella in it with no problems. It was quick to set up and held the umbrella still and secure on a fairly windy day. It was a hit with the other moms in our play group. I also love that it has a carrying bag to store the anchor in. This is really a quality built umbrella sand anchor. Finally a beach umbrella that is lightweight and actually works. I am a beach and sun lover but do like to have a reprieve once in awhile from the rays. I just spent 4 sunny days on the Gulf coast of Florida and was excited that this anchor arrived in time to accompany me. It is approximately 15" long and very lightweight. It didn't take up too much precious weight in my suitcase. It is nice to have my own anchor because I usually fly to the beach. I always buy an umbrella but hate to spend money on an anchor so my umbrella doesn't usually last long with the wind. The anchor was so easy to "screw" into the sand and the umbrella fit easily into the anchor and was secured with a screw in the side. One day the winds were pretty high and once we figured out the direction the umbrella needed to be in the anchor worked great. Best of all it comes with a little bag to keep sand off of everything in your beach bag! I received this product at a discounted rate for my honest and unbiased review.

This umbrella anchor is what it says it is. It's plastic, but it's sturdy. I wouldn't put a HUGE umbrella in there, but it wil certainly do the job for anything less. I have used this once so far, because I promised to give an honest review in exchange for a discounted product, but I will update this as it gets better tests on the beach.
