Chapin International G405 Feeder Hose End for Dry and Water Soluble Fertilizers, Green

I use this feeder to flush my boat engines with solution to remove salt. It does leak a bit, but serves my purpose ok, and the large container makes flushing the engines thoroughly a breeze. For the price I am very pleased.Update: The sprayer has worked very well for my purpose, but did leak slightly when in use, and sometimes the top would pop off under pressure. This update is really about Chapin's customer service. I wrote the company (via their website) about the issues I was having with the top coming off (causing me to lose the O-ring seal), and requested a new O-ring to be sent. I was extremely impressed by their response. They sent me a completely new sprayer! No more leaks and I have yet to have the top pop off. It looks like the threads are deeper on this one, so some may have gotten through with threads that are inadequate, causing the leaks others have reported. I have other Chapin products and will continue to recommend and use their products. If you have left a negative review, I suggest you contact Chapin via their website, as my experience has been outstanding with their company.

Out of the box, the top part of the lid was barely attached. Leaks everywhere. Cap blows off unprovoked. Does not distribute evenly, instead sprays an increasingly diluted solution. Application rate is not adjustable. Horrible performance. Pure garbage.

These are garbage. Don't waste your money on them. I bought 3. And with all 3 the tanks explode off of the threads and spills everywhere. I lost a bunch of money in liquid fertilizers trying to make these work.

I recently purchased the Chapin International G405 Feeder Hose End for Dry and Water Soluble Fertilizers, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. While it was straightforward to use and the material quality was as expected, the product's performance was severely lacking.I used it as a fertilizer addition to my irrigation system, and it leaked excessively. At least half of my fertilizer leaked out, wasting a good pound of it. Luckily, I had a bucket underneath because I saw other bad reviews and decided to give it a cautious try. The instructions were okay, but they didn’t make up for the poor design.I would give it 1 star because it wasted a significant amount of fertilizer. The concept of the product is good, but it needs significant improvement in design to prevent leaks and ensure efficient use of fertilizers. I cannot recommend this product until these issues are addressed.

For an inline feeder. The spray nozzle simply unscrews. Fill feeder with food, screw top on tightly. Attach to hose and with short hose attach to nozzle end. The last hose attachment to the sprinkler. Now watering and feeding at same time. Game changer in gardening. Oh forgot there is lever that you can open/close so after few minute setup you can turn on water, open partially for small area or open full for larger area.

Leaks like crazy out of the box. The washer for the fertilizer jug just doesn't do the job.THE FIX: take out the o-ring and throw it away. Grab a piece of harness leather and make your own gasket. Works like a charm. Just too bad they don't send a viable gasket with the product.

This doesn't come with fittings to connect it to a hose. Standard fittings purchased from Bunnings also don't fit, rendering this unusable.

The media could not be loaded. Unfortunately this leaked more than it watered. Something not right with the o ring inlet. Still trying to resolve as really want this product to work as it’s the only one that offers onward connection to another watering solution such as a sprinkler.

It leaked more water than it sprayed. Absolute waste of money.
