This tray is very useful, especially if you want to take the meat out of the freezer the same day to be used. I’m used to taking meat out the night before, thing is if I leave it overnight, once it’s defrosted it could lie there for a while before it’s used. Cue - bacteria growth.So using this tray, I can wait until the day to defrost my food. It took two hours only for this bundle of pork chops. This is fabulous, so even if I forget to get meat out the freezer I can remember up to the lunch time time and get to work. The meat has less risk of bacteria growth and less risk of contamination of other foods or whatever. The little trays catch the water residue from the meat as it defrosts, that saves any mess and less clean up.

Personally I didn't think this worked for me..I tried the ice cube test by resting one on here and one on a saucer. 30 minutes later and there was barely any change in either of them. Admittedly, it's a much cooler climate currently, but I wouldn't want to leave meat or fish exposed and would rather defrost overnight in the fridge or use the defrost function on the microwave.The drip trays are plastic in comparison to the strong metal tray and I imagine they won't last very long.It would be an expensive kitchen ornament do I returned it.

Mrs wanted 1 of these for a while ,finally bought this due to good reviews glad we did as it an excellent product. Definitely speeds up the defrosting process. The 2 drip trays help save any mess .

Great works a little on the expensive side for a sheet of metal and a couple of bits of plastic all the writing on the box is Chinese good job it's blatantly obvious to use also could ha e done with been a bit larger other than those few complaints all good maybe shop around see if you can find on cheaper they must be making a fortune.

Only took 2 hours to defrost a Sirlion Steak! Without any help of electricity and battery, indeed something special!Worth buying!

Arrived in a neat box, looks like pics. There’s a nice metal stripe effect that should speed conductivity. Not tested it head to head with a plate, but it works. The drip trays are a bit awkward, but alternatives just have a thin plastic tray and this feels more permanent. All basically fine.

Good quality and arrived fast
