Best Backpack Ever PERIOD.
I am a college student and I must say this is an excellent backpack. It's perfect for traveling as well as everyday use. The locking system is magnificent as there are several situations where I must leave my backpack unattended for a few moments and now I do not have to worry. You simply place all of your valuables in the either the laptop compartment or the larger center compartment. The front compartment does not lock but is very inconspicuous under the flap. You place all of the zippers in the locking plate and lock it to an object that cannot easily be moved.- This backpack is made of quality materials, with an almost indestructible construction, It lasted me an entire summer semester without a snag. I am generally rough on my backpacks yet after 3 months this backpack still looks brand new.- The lock is very strong and I'd be more concerned about someone breaking the lock before they break into the bag- Sits very comfortable on your back even with lots of weight. I carry a Macbook Pro 13" from Mid 2012 (Waiting on the 2016 Release Come on Apple), a 9.7 inch iPad in the very well protected tablet slot, as well as a 5 subject notebook and 3 other 150 sheet notebooks with a few textbooks and maybe a lab coat some days, and various other small accessories such as headphones, battery pack, a portable hard drive and other pens and pencils. I will however say that If you carry more than this( which I doubt you do) go for the 17 inch model as this bag is at capacity with this load. This is what I have with me on a day to day basis and it feels like a feather on my back with about 15 lbs of contents it holds its shape, there is a convenient slot for the lock on the opposite side of the collapsible water bottle holder which is great because its made of mesh and does not hold water so its always dry even if the liquids do not remain in the container. The elastic pouches inside first two pockets are great for storing things like laptop chargers, other various cables, calculators and post it notes. One of my favorite features of the bag is the luggage pass through slot, This allows you to place the bag securely on a suitcase handle which is perfect in the airport. You slide it on to your carry on handle and this way you won't have to carry it around all the time this also means that you don't have to sit it on the floor when you want to sit down. It even has a hidden compartment to store your passport and boarding pass for quick and easy access. I often put my phone here (iPhone 6 Plus) when I'm sitting and don't want to keep it in my pocket. If you're looking for a durable bag with versatility and great security this is the bag for you and its all backed by a 10 year warranty which I don't anticipate having to use.

KENSINGTON'S RARA AVIS: A bag that delivers EXACTLY what is advertised AND MORE on Amazon!!!!
In an era where little is ever delivered exactly as it is described, this Kensington 17" lockable backpack is a rarity. Although nothing is perfect - and I would like a brighter color interior to see items down in the deep/abundant pockets better, and few small changes made - overall the design, materials, workmanship, and functionality for a Million Mile intl business flyer like myself are as close to perfect for my needs as I have found. (photos to come)I rarely if ever check a bag, because as all road warriors know, that is death to getting in and out of airports quickly or worse they get lost or tossed. So having this spacious - yet easily stowed under most airplane seats/overhead bins - overnight bag is so helpful. If you pack smart and it isn't dead of winter at your destination? One can easily pack two day's of business casual attire in the clothing section, plus a 15 inch MacBook Pro (in well padded area), 10.5 iPad + keyboard (also padded), headphones in case, digital camera, 10k backup battery/chargers + cables, two iPhones, sunglasses, readers, a Kindle, 750ml SIGG waterbottle (inside or in zippered exterior holder), keys (on provided clip), mini umbrella, magazines (if you still do that tree wasting stuff) and work folders with plenty of room to spare. Fully loaded, it rests as well on my shoulders as it does sitting atop my rolling carryon.I don't need to reiterate the excellent descriptions and photos in Kensington's advert above only to say that all claims are true, and point out some important details that I don't remember them emphasizing:1. This bag empty is VERY light for its dimensions: a huge plus in this era now that airlines weigh everything going on the plane (and no doubt soon will start weighing customers!)2. The twill nylon exterior looks quite nice and seems good for resisting marks and tears (will update after a month on the road)3. Unmentioned, the bottom of the bag has a high density, likely waterproof, rubberized PVC layer to protect against it being ruined on rough floors or in wet places.4. There is a discrete yet handy top zip pocket just below the carry handle that accepts my RayBans in a hard case, or could take a passport + wallet, keys, and or a smartphone or two for easy access in airports etc.5. As all laptop bags should, it has the lie-flat TSA friendly laptop section for those who aren't TSA Pre/Global Entry (in the USA).6. The locking/tether system is the best I've seen, the zippers strong and solid, zipper pulls are a very durable metal. There is no way to get into this bag without destroying it - which makes insurance claims much more likely to succeed - should a dummy thief not just go past your bag to an easier one next to it.In summary: This bag is well made, good looking, has all the features I need and is incredibly good Value For Money at about $95 delivered. The ability to secure this bag in hotels without safes, open workspaces and airports/lounges/trains where you don't wish to constantly keep an eye on your bag while working, or drag it to the bathroom with you for a wee minute or two, is just invaluable to me on the road. If you carry around today's full business kit, you likely have some $3000-5000 of easily stolen/sold items in your bag -never mind your papers and passport. To be able to secure it all in a handsome $100 bag is IMO both a large dose of design magic and a no-brainer:BUY THIS BAG.

comfortable straps, safety features (locking cable sold separately) interiors ...
Purchased this for my college student, their other back pack was fashionable but offered no real protection for the computer, and was uncomfortable to carry heavy books. So, I looked and looked for one which would be durable, functional, light weight but offer protection for computer and electronics, separate spaces, comfortable straps, safety features (locking cable sold separately) interiors lined and cushioned and sized for her height and weight. She loved it, traveled with it to Europe and its been used daily at university for the last 1.5 years and still looks new. This bag has literally lifted a weight off her shoulders and made walking to classes across campus a little less burdensome.I imagine lots use even after college...great product.
