Crescent Wiss 8-1/8" Industrial Bent Trimmers - 428N

What can I say? They are typical Wiss quality scissors. These are your standard desktop size scissors. I wasn't sure what size 8 1/8" exactly was, but I thought this was the right size and it was. Pretty much identical to my Mothers old Wiss scissors that she still has and uses and that I remember playing with back in the late 60s and 70's when I was a kid... Still going strong at least 55 years later. I remember how my mother didn't like me uses those scissors because they were her "good scissors." These new ones seem just as good a quality. Nice 100% solid steel construction with enameled handles. Handle and blade on each side are cut from one piece of steel, so no weak spot like others that have plastic handles connecting to steel blades. I would definitely recommend these Wiss scissors if you like quality and sharp scissors that cut easily. They are made in Italy.

They aren’t to heavy, perfect size to use with crafts

Very well balanced, hardened steel, very sharp (and can be taken apart with a screwdriver to properly sharpen - though I don't think that will be necessary for a very long time) They also remind me of the shears/scissors that you might find being used at a fabric store by people who rely on sharp accurate scissors day in and day out. Highly recommend. Light years different from Fiskars or other thin plastic handled scissors you can get in any store.

I chose to get this pair as I wanted something similar to what my mother used for sewing way back. The reviews seemed fair and I got a deal for Black Friday.I was disappointed as it sticks a little bit when opening and closing. I tried using this for one sewing project and the combined weight and effort using it gave me stiff fingers for a few days. Maybe I just need to oil or loosen the screw but for now this goes into my stock drawer and keep on using my Kai shears.

Perfect scissors for household and hobby use. These are made to last without being bulky or heavy. The blades are the proper thickness and are sharp enough to qualify as heavy duty without looking like metal shears. The cost is reasonable and with their adjustable blades should last a long time...I bought (2) of them...

Cuts so well! But, as mentioned, heavier for mildly arthritic hands
