Probably the best home dumbbells money can buy on the market right now. The finish is not as thick and mirror polish as the Cap barbell versions but after speaking with the representatives at Hampton Fitness they informed me the finish they use is much more durable long term. Amazon is great but found mine off Ebay for waaaaay cheaper. Good luck!

A+ for home or commercial gym; daily use
The both of us are certified personal trainers and we are both responsible for the upkeep and set up of two commercial gyms. These sure are beauties! The grip is slightly ergonomic with a diamond nurled black plastic grip. The ladies in the gym use them with no finger gloves on, and their finger webbing doesn't hurt afterwards. We've had about 3 sets of these dumbbells (in different weights) for about 4 months and so far the chome has held up beautifuly. No chips, or scratches. I like how the weight is stamped into the metal rather than a decal used.

Great Dumbbells!
I am not sure what one of the previous reviewers is talking about, but these dumbbells are top notch. The finish is shiny and beautiful. They are easy to hold (small, comfortable grip) and of excellent quality. I bought the 17.5 lb pair, as I wanted an interval between my 15s and 20s. Perfect in every way! Thank you, Hampton Fitness!!

not exactly what I expected 7.5, 10, 12.5 lbs
If you're expecting to get shiny, mirror finish dumbbells, these are not them. They are textured and not as shiny as expected, looking somewhat mass produced. Made in China. Not that I'm against products made in China -- all my Apple products have parts made in China and I'm happy with them. Given the high price, I expected smoother, shinier finish.

Need to be better finished at this price
They look good from the distance, but the production quality is low. The finish is inconsistent. Some have been marred and show visible dent marks. For this price, they need to look perfect. Maybe start making them in US instead of China???
