A Must Have Guide if you have Gut Issues
This is a well written personal guide that will help ALL who have been diagnosed with SIBO and/or IBS. Shivan with the help of experts has put nearly everything you need to know about getting better into this book. Even though I have had SIBO diagnosed for 5+ years and IBS for 40+ years I will use this book to improve my health and be free of SIBO at last. I have followed Shivan and Dr. Siebecker for years. This book leads you through the maize of testing, medicating and eating better for the gut you have. Some of us particularly those of us with SIBO just cannot eat the usual American diet. We have limitations and following the foods outlined in the book as the “safest” ones will help to improve the condition you are in. And - it will give you support in a way no one else can…unless you are lucky to have Dr. Siebecker or one of the other prominent SIBO doctors as your physician.Even though you might be struggling or you already know a lot Healing SIBO can be your reference to continue to get better every day. I highly recommend you buy this book and take it with you when you have your next doctor’s visit. Most gastroenterologist are not schooled in SIBO. YOU have to be your own best friend and be educated. Thanks a million, Shivan.

Excellent! Whatever stage of your SIBO journey!
If you are new to SIBO, healing, or healed, this book has something for everyone. No matter what stage of your SIBO journey or if you’re a family member that just wants to educate yourself, this book is written in a way that’s easy to digest (no pun intended), and you can go directly to the recipe section and surprise your loved one by making a SIBO-friendly meal. The book gives everyone an opportunity to feel productive by contributing to your healing process. Shivan’s book Healing SIBO also addresses preventing a SIBO relapse, which is a common thread across most people’s experience.Shivan’s style of writing isn’t simply a textbook explanation. She shares from a perspective like few others could, with her own account, grasp and wealth of knowledge of SIBO and other gut issues too. Even as a long-term SIBO sufferer myself, now a healed SIBO survivor, I’ve always benefited from any additional insight. Especially now, as this condition is gaining recognition, this book shines a light on what can absolutely be a baffling and despairing condition. The term SIBO was new to me and led me to discover Shivan's Facebook group, “SIBO SOS.” The group is also a special space and has been a much-needed place to turn to for support, information, and education from the high-caliber specialists she interviews. I equally recommend joining the SIBO-SOS group in addition to buying this book!Healing SIBO is a treasure trove of SIBO wisdom and facts, and it even tackles unexpected topics like grief. Shivan underscores equally the importance of treating symptoms that can present like anxiety and depression and the significance of the “gut-brain connection’s” role into our well-being, and likely why the Neurologist figured it out first. Treating SIBO requires a multifaceted approach and an understanding that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. We can’t solely rely on just one component like medication, herbals, or diet modification to recover. This book approaches other important issues like gut motility, the potential benefits of prokinetics, and many more suggestions. This shedding light on such information could be the missing link you’ve been looking for. It’s more valuable than you can imagine, and you’ll probably go back and read parts all over again as you make progress, and sometimes stumbles backwards, too.Shivan Sarna uses all of her skills and mastery to tackle SIBO from an unrivaled standpoint! There’s no doubt she’s an expert in this condition. She a natural-born healer, and you’ll always hear her say, “There’s hope! Don’t give up!” when she’s interacting with members of her SIBO-SOS group. Personally, I’m very grateful to have found Shivan. There’s no doubt Shivan played a significant role in my own journey to Healing SIBO!

Helpful book
My husband hasn't improved from SIBO but this book has been very helpful as far as food preps and other things. Worth reading. SIBO is never ending and causes depression for those who suffer from it. Doctors are useless and have no idea how to help someone with this condition. Books such as this one, are good to have. IMO.

Really good book by someone who healed SIBO
This book has lots of facts, practical advice to help cure SIBO. The only part is that all recipes are vegetarian which is not helpful for all. I feel better eating meat for protein.

Factual and supportive guide to navigating SIBO
Healing SIBO is an excellent book. I wish it had been written three years ago when I was first diagnosed with SIBO. It would have saved me time, money, and disappointment. She weaves together facts from the leading SIBO doctors. She presents the facts in a clear and organized manner, and she does this in a very kind and supportive way. I felt like I have a friend/sister encouraging me on as I read the book. It was motivating to learn that through her years of meeting with medical professionals and dealing with her own SIBO that she no longer suffers from SIBO. Her encouragement will help me in my health journey and I’m looking forward to making the delicious looking recipes.

If you have SIBO you need this book
This is a good book that explains so many things. After researching on YouTube and the internet I was drowning in information. This book consolidated that information. But beware the author is vegan and the recipes are all vegan making it less valuable. Nevertheless, this is a good book with tons of good information.

A Fantastic Resource for learning all about SIBO!
Shivan did a great job with this book! She has spent years learning about SIBO from her own personal experience as well as her extensive research and interviews with many top professional experts. I see her as the go-to person if you want to learn anything about SIBO. She has written a very comprehensive, informative book as part of her mission to help those who suffer from SIBO. Her book reflects her very clear, down-to-earth style of communication. She also has a great web site (SIBOSOS.com) with a lot of helpful info and resources. If you, or anyone you know, suffers from SIBO (or is not sure about whether this is the case or not), definitely read this book as it a one-stop shop for learning all about this condition and best treatment approaches.
