The Most Amazing, Fun, Entertaining, Colorful And Educational Read
Lauren Von Der Pool is such an amazing chef. Her knowledge and skills about making Vegan and Raw Food meals is so professional; yet with this book you will have such a joy preparing the recipes and also reading about them. This book is my first recipe book I have every bought and I am happy to say it was a great choice. I have taken it upon myself to change my diet years ago. What kept me going was self education and knowing basics, quick meals, fun meals to make so I dont get bored or slip here and there. Lauren Von Der Pool's book keeps that momentum going with easy recipes, creative combinations, freedom to add your favorites and to know exactly what your putting into your body and what it will do so you can see and feel results. Lauren has some of the most colorful names for her recipes. They are fun and get straight to the point. The book is educational along with being very entertaining. You will be smiling and even bust out laughing while reading. There are great moments when Lauren sneaks in a story of how she came up with a healthy alternative for those past cravings. She also shows how we all can change our diet for mental, physical and spiritual improvement. Lauren uses words like "deliciousness", "euphoria", "effervescent" and "Live a Little" to make the reading 3D and motivate you throughout the book. I was really looking for new dressings for my salads and dips for my fruits and wraps; I'm covered now with these amazing vegan nectars in the book. The way that Lauren combines health, fresh natural and organic foods and the spiritual connection to what you eat, its so refreshing. I recommend this book to those who are new to the Vegan or Raw Food lifestyle, and to those who need some creativity and excitement in their healthy diet lifestyle.

Visually appealing photos & intriguing recipes but needs an index and recipes should be edited for accuracy...
This book is visually stunning and filled with good introductory information about types of herbs, food prep supplies, as well as whole body health.I loved the variety of recipes and the fact that many of them don't require me to completely restock my kitchen with new accessories and appliances. It is very easy to imagine how good the foods will taste upon reading the descriptions and viewing the vivid photos in the book.After having had the book for a while, though, and attempting several of the recipes, my major complaint is that some of the recipes were not checked for accuracy/inclusion of all ingredients. For example, the Napa Cabbage Slaw on pg. 130 does not list almonds or carrots in the ingredients, but in the preparation directions it says "Mix cabbages, sprouts, caramelized onions, cilantro, and almonds in large bowl.." and later says "Pour orange-juice nectar into carrot mixture in large bowl..." Other places where this is the case are pages 121 and 125.In the back of the book, there is the Eat Yourself Sexy! in a Week Menu. Great tool for someone who feels overwhelmed by preparing raw meals. Most of the meals included in the weekly plan were fairly easy to prepare. The one flaw is that one of the items included almost daily on the menu, the Citrus Detox, is a recipe that is not included in the book (or if it is, it is by another name).I think the book is worth the cost but it could use some updating for accuracy, and a future edition would also benefit from the inclusion of an index. When I was using the Eat Yourself Sexy! in a Week Menu, I had to go through every section of the book, find the recipes, and mark the page numbers on the menu for ease of access.

Highly Informative and Visually Stimulating-An All Around Great Read!
I have been an admirer of Ms. Von Der Pool and her work for a few years now and I was very excited to find that she was writing a book. I am well practiced in vegetarian and vegan cooking but am somewhat of a newcomer to the world of raw food preparation and combinations I immediately ordered her book from Amazon shortly after its release and I must say it was worth every penny spent. This book is a mainstay in my home. I proudly have it displayed in my home for all to see so they too can benefit from the wealth of knowledge Lauren has acquired over the years. In this book you will find easy to follow recipes for beverages, soups, entrees, as well as for homemade beauty products. In addition to the recipes Lauren imparts knowledge about detoxing, food combinations, and so much more. And did I forget to mention that she has wonderful vivid photos that make this great for a coffee table book.

Serena's chef stirs up interest in going vegan
I am a huge fan of Serena Williams so when I saw Serena tweet that her personal chef, who travelled with her throughout 2012, had released a book on healthy living, I quickly purchased it. Serena had a historic year in 2012. She won singles and doubles at Wimbledon and the Olympics. She followed that up by winning the U.S. Open and the Year-End Championships. She is more fit than she has been in years due in no small part to the vegan dishes prepared by Lauren Von Der Pool. "Eat Yourself Sexy" is very easy to read. The beginning of the book provides invaluable information on why a plant-based diet is much better than a meat-based diet. The fork vs knife debate is presented in easy-to-undertstand terms. I particularly appreciated the food combining chart and the reasons why some foods should not be eaten at the same time. My New Year's Resolution is to try at least one of the recipes in this book each month. Happy eating everyone.

Amazing woman, amazing book
I love her spirit and attitude. Her confidence is second to none. This book was beautifully made and written. There was so much information to read and digest and so much advice to apply. I love the recipe for making your own alkaline water, because buying it from the store is extremely expensive. The only thing that could make this better would be to have the book in digital form.

More then a Cookbook, this is the Ultimate Lifestyle book-Easy To Understand and Do.
Most cooking books usually are bland and very basic in their approach which for some people is OK, however personally as a reader it leaves me empty and nowadays if you look up recipes on the web you would find an abundance of free recipes that cater for this.Whereas cooking is a wonderful creative outlet and the lifestyle of a chef is important to understand and want to achieve. Lauren personifies this to a great effect, this book takes it the next step from being just a cookbook it could be seen and is a self-help book, environmental and lifestyle book in one (what a bargain-yes it is!) and this helps with guiding you with personal advice for natural remedies, key ingredients and why they are useful and helpful without the confusion, how to detox, ideal spices to replace the nastiness such as sugars and salts, equipment to use, and about exploring the palette.Within covering a huge ideal of what it means to be healthy, now just instead of being about preparation with food but the epitome of fitness, health and beauty (Sexiness!), caring about your environment in the home and around your community, where you buy food (farmers markets) and helping heal your spiritual to natural well being without being contrived.This sounds complicated at first if you are coming new into this but the genius of all the book offers, this is laid out in a simple, clean, easy and understandable way for the Lehman to the most complex Raw Foodist Vegans. I would personally ( and I do ) use it as a revision guide when you are ready to eat, drink and prepare yourself for food, the food combining chart is great visually along with many other goodies to relish your eyes on.It doesn't at anytime preach about being a Vegan either, which is a welcome relief, but with all the suggestions to improve how your body functions which I am sure everyone could welcome after the Xmas mass feast eating, and also even how to overcome when you have had a few too many (Drunk-As-A Skunk Remedy).I highly recommend this book, anyway I am off to prepare my Kale Salad exotica, Grand Slammin tacos with a desert of Pineapple-Mango Sorbet.

Man liest besser die Zeitschriften bei Friseur, hier ist überhaupt kein Inhalt. Wenig Rezepte, man findet viel mehr umsonst in Internet.
