Excellent night vision
Definitely the best $100 camera...the night image quality is equal to the 8mp Amcrest $200 model...I've bought both....the Amcrest are just rebranded copies of the dahua models....but with quirkier firmware....

Its better than the equavilent Amcrest camera that looks identical.
The (nearly) same camera made by Amcrest doesn't have a sensor that sees in a low lux environment. Amcrest overcompensates by using too much illumination, which seriously limits the distance the camera sees in the dark down to 100 feet. The Dahua easily sees three times further, doesn't over-saturate the near objects with too much IR illumination, and does a much better job of maintaining focus. If you need to be able to see beyond 100 feet at night, this camera is a solid solution.

Nice camera
It's a pretty good camera. It can work without a video recorder. There is a place for a micro SD card inside. I am satisfied with the camera. Unfortunately, this copy came to me without a bracket and is password protected, so I had to restore the factory settings.

Burned out in 20 days (+ or -)
Received on Feb 3rd, installed by licensed installer on Feb 17. Noticed it wasn't working on March 6. Had installer back and he said, "burned out". Other 3 cams run on same switch working fine. Would be nice if we made some of this stateside so we could move away from imported crap!

Check the items before using.
The cameras that were delivered had a used camera in the box. The other camera worked just fine, but the used one did not. I drove 2.5 hours to install these cameras and still have to go back to finish the job. Not happy!

Dahua does not honor warranty
The weather seal failed and corroded the connections after the first month. Item is still under warranty but Dahua refused to honor it. Thankfully the vendor honored the warranty and replaced the item.
