You’re about to spend £10 on someone else’s drawings
I thought this book would help to teach me a few drawings, give me some doodle ideas and help me decorate my journal. Instead it’s just filled with drawings, some of which are coloured in and some aren’t. Only a few “how to” drawings and nowhere in the book to practice. It’s actually a really nice, high quality book but far too expensive for what it is.

Full of Ideas and Easy to Follow Examples 💜
I'm just starting out on my bullet journal and doodling journey so this book could not have been released at a better time. The range of subjects and examples within each subject is amazing. The step by step examples make the doodles far easier to achieve than I could have hoped for. This book is worth every penny and will help me bring my bullet journal to life!

Workable size
I can draw but sometimes need a push for ideas. The images are uncomplicated and can always be tweaked to personalise. The book itself is a good size, marginally larger than A5, doesn't take up much space on the desk even when opened; mine is placed on a book ledge meaning the image can be seen without having constantly to look down.A lot of work and effort has gone in to producing the 1000 images, and it's much appreciated.

Brilliant reference book.
I have been following Helen Colebrook for a little while now and am pleased she published this book. It's fantastic if, like me, you can't draw. She has done the drawings on dot grid so you can use the dots as a guide and has also included exercises to do at the beginning of each section. The book is broken down into segments, for example, banners and scrolls, feathers, leaves, the seasons, food and drinks, transport etc etc and a few different styles of lettering to use. There are a few intro pages in the front including what tools and materials can be used. In reality all you need is a pen, pencil and paper to get started. There are also a few pages showing how Helen lays out her journals and she also tells you which suppliers and stationary brands she uses. Overall, I highly recommend this book to enable you to "personalize your journal". (and learn to draw😁).
