Excellent, comfortable baby seat - just wish it could be strapped to a chair
I read many baby seat reviews before purchasing the Megaseat, and find that it is almost perfect, being both comfortable for baby and light enough to be portable. My baby loves sitting in it at the table with the rest of the family and it supports him better than his high chair (at the moment, any way). His chubby little legs fit just fine, and it seems very stable. On the downside, the strap adjustment is rather inconveniently located underneath the seat, so if you find that you need to adjust it, you have to take your baby out and turn the seat upside down. Hard to do while holding your baby! Not sure if this is just poor design or if it is an intentional safety feature to keep older babies from loosening it themselves, but it's definitely a hassle.Lastly, there is no strap to connect the seat to a chair. In fact, the instructions specifically warn against using this on any raised surface. Since it seems like this could and should double as a booster seat, that's pretty ridiculous in my opinion. A second strap would make it perfectly safe and allow it serve dual purposes.

A Better Investment
I did lots of research before buying this supported seater. I have tons of girlfriends that recommended the Bumbo seat, but only used it for a short time. The leg room design for the Bumbo is pear shaped, and if your baby has chunky legs it becomes hard to get them into the leg slots. The Mega Seat has considerably wider leg openings. The back is also higher on this supported seater, so you could use it earlier and have your baby's head supported. The seat is nice and deep, but not awkward as to scrunch my baby's stomach. I'll be using this often and for a long time. My only complaint is that the buckle is awkward and I have to reach under my baby to retrieve the buckle after she's sitting. Not a major complaint, but fairly annoying. Also I ordered the green seat and it seems like the color is slightly faded. Almost like it's been left in the sun. Still a nice color though. Overall it's great durable foam, lightweight, and my daughter loves it.

Edited review
My initial review was written as a two-star and was largely a complaint that the seat didn't work for a large, younger infant without much trunk control. But after trying it a few times I was able to get my son accustomed to sitting upright. After ten days or so he was able to sit well enough to attempt a meal in the seat.He is a larger boy with thick thighs and he already takes up most of the seat so I don't think this will last us for very long, but for now the seat has worked as a good trainer for upright sitting and eating. I still think the chair pushes the child VERY upright. I've not had the problem with spitting up like some of the other reviewers.I'm glad I stuck with the seat and gave my son some time to adjust to it. I edited my review to reflect this.

Great for a baby that loves to sit up with chunky legs
My baby has unbelievably chunky legs and luckily I saw this and was attracted to the red color over the Bumbo. I later tried to sit her in a Bumbo but her legs would not fit but they do not have a problem in these seats. But that may change soon if her legs keep getting chunkier, lol. I think by the time she starts walking they will slim and this chair will still be fine although I don't know if we will still be interested in using this by then. Baby was using this at 4 months and was great because she loved to sit up even though she could not fully support herself stable until 6 months. The only slightly annoying thing is that the belt can adjust on one side to move out the way for baby to sit but the other side of the belt doesn't adjust in length and is not long enough to move out the way for baby to sit. Therefore to put on the belt, I have to sit baby in the seat and then dig the belt out from under her to put the belt on. Minor issue though.

I love the seat and was ecstatic to support a "made ...
I love the seat and was ecstatic to support a "made in America" product; just wish it came in different colors. My 4-month old sits very well in it, even when he tries to lean very far forward he is well-supported. It also has a very large base area, so it doesn't tip over even when I test it. My only complaint is that there isn't an easy way to grasp the chair. It would be VERY helpful if there was a concave handle on the back of the seat so you could pick it up with one hand. Nine times out of ten I have baby in the other arm. I've tried to get around this by always buckling the straps together when he isn't in it, then I just grab the seat-belt to move it around one-handed. Remember that this purchase supports AMERICAN jobs. :)

Good seat so far; pushes them forward a bit too much.
So far it works relatively well, but as other reviewers have pointed out, it seems to push them forward a bit, which is both awkward and messy since it seems to encourage more spit-up. We put a book under the front to tilt her back. Maybe this will get better as she grows longer and leaner - right now she's a chunky 3-month old! The safety instructions say minimum 4-months, but I know the daycares start babies in Bumbos around 2-months, so I'm not sure why the difference. We only put her in it a few minutes at a time right now. Also, she seems to completely fill it out at only 3-months and she's average height and weight for her age, so I hope she doesn't grow out of it too soon.

Like the seat just wish tray worked
This is a good little baby seat and I feel good about putting my baby in it that it's a safe material and made in USA (see my review of the Summer Infant 3 in 1 seat, not safe). A few things to improve: the tray design is terrible and unusable (see review) and it would be nice to have a strap that would go on a chair to use as a booster. It's not as versatile as I would like and my baby tends to double over in it (would have been helped by the tray) to grab her feet. But I decided to keep it as it's easy to move around the house and she seems to like it for a while.
