This product is what it says. The wire is not very long. At about 2 meters. This is a very good product.And yes, this device can wreck havoc if wrong voltage is selected. It will fry thr PCB. Though modern systems have a auto cut ✂️ feature to prevent this. Cheap / Chinese devices don't stand a chance.

Stopped working after one month of usege
