Collins Numbers Ages 3-5: Ideal for Home Learning

Hmmm.. well, the book is nice inside but I found the front cover utterly misleading - I was looking for some simple adding and given that the entire front cover is dedicated to an addition sum I incorrectly thought that this would have some adding questions, but there isn't even one addition inside, so although it is a 'nice' book, it is too basic for my child.

I bought this for my September born 5 year old who has recently started school, he completed the whole book in less than an hour (and most of that time was spent swinging on his chair and whinging it was too easy). I think he would have benefited from this during his first term in preschool (i.e. 3-4). The quality of the book is good and the questions are easily understood by a 5 year old, therefore I've still given it a high rating as it was a useful resource, just one I wish I'd had earlier in his studies.

I bought this to help with homeschooling but although it's good and does have engaging activities the drawback is once its used that's it. There aren't enough pages to justify buying and I don't think I will be buying anymore of these. I got other ones which have multiple pages per number rather than just the two and there are only 2 pages (I. E. a double spread) for each number which is quickly done. It took my daughters less than an hour to do the whole book.

Useful pre-school ‘NUMBERS’ book. Simple and easy to use. My 3+yr old enjoys learning with the book. He recognises his numbers 1 to 10 and is able to calculate simple additions with the aid of the colourful illustrations. The content is mostly suited to 3-4yr olds. Affordable price, packaged excellently and delivered on time.

Cover has you believe it contains simple math when it's actually recognising 1 to 10 and not even counting up to the number. Not what I was expecting for my 4 year old
