WHAT A WONDERFUL ACQUISITION - NO MORE CABLE!!!
I have had several antennas in the past, trying to get away from cable (all in the range of $50 or lower) and they didn't perform as expected... the screen would freeze, pixelated images, etc... Not with this one antenna... I have an awesome image all the time, clearer than when I had cable... no pixelation and access to hundreds of channels... I am VERY HAPPY with this purchase. This last week I returned my boxes to AT&T after their last price increase - which I wasn't happy about. I am saving hundreds of dollars monthly and I am not missing any of the channels that they provided. Highly recommend this product.

Solid design, excellent construction, impressive performance!
Well, after getting a tip from a coworker on this specific antenna, I decided to buy and test for myself. I'm also an Amateur Radio fan and have designed, built, and tuned several 2m antennas for my own use, so my expectations were pretty high going in. Primary use is in the main living room TV, as we ditched DirecTV after 18yrs due to excessive monthly cost ($185/mo!) and still wanted to get local news and programming to supplement streaming services. We have a 2 story house and prior antennas wouldn't bring in more than 6-8 signals from the tower netowk about 50mi away. After taking down my LNB dish and reusing the mast for this antenna, channel setup returned 94 locked signals. Some of these are diplicates or foreign language, but in comparison this antenna does exactly what it's designed to do.The installation kit went so far to include an extra nut for the mast mount - just the thing when you're on a ladder and drop one on the ground. Also, the built-in mounting system is solid and easy to manuever when aiming the antenna. Beig an enclosed Yagi-Uda antenna, this is directional and must be aimed to work properly. There's even a QR code on the side of the box to help you aim the antenna after providing your zip code, another convenient and well-thought out product feature. The plastic enclosure is not cheap and will be subjected to weather, and I have no doubt it will hold up to wind and rain. The splitter and signal amplifier is required to be powered up in order to enable the BOSS system that evens out signals across the band by amplifying only the weak signals. It will work without being powered, but will work better AND filter out 4G and LTE band interference when powered - probably worth hooking it up as frequency bands are expanded for cellular carriers. The splitter also allows 2 terminal connections, but be sure to use the one marked MAIN for your primary TV, as it will have less loss than the AUX connection, likely due to internal design. These are marked under a dust cover, and the bposter is solidly constructed and well-designed.Overall, I gave this antenna high marks because while it is definitely more expensive than others, the build quality and attention to detail make it easy to install along with performance you may need for distant signal detection. In this case you get what you paid for.

Tops among the "newer" antenna styles although an inexpensive Yagi will still outperform it.
After having not great results with a ClearStream 4V I ordered this unit. My expectations were pretty low but I have to say that it does a really good job, better than the ClearStream, not as good as a small Yagi. After taking down the ClearStream I had installed a small RCA Yagi which does a great job at bringing in 65+ channels including some on both high and low VHF. This came in after I had put up the Yagi but I decided to give it a try. Just standing on the ground holding it I was stunned when it was locking in channels that the ClearStream had trouble with. I thus put it on the mast and was further impressed. While it did not beat out the small Yagi, it did show signal strength of only about 10% less. This was without the amp on both. It definitely struggled more on VHF than the RCA.The amp on this unit is really nice in that, unlike most, it adjusts power as needed. It also allows for pass through mode so that if there is no power to the amp, it continues working. In the end, I still went with the smaller, cheaper RCA for my primary channels (about 65 of them). However, I have decided I will keep this as a second unit to point at an antenna farm located in an opposite direction of all UHF. Note that it is directional in nature so proper aiming is important. While I do believe that most people who need an outdoor antenna will be better served by a traditional Yagi versus any of the newer styles, this is an excellent option for those who want something more discreet. I would definitely rate it higher than the ClearChannel. It is easy to set up and seems to be very well constructed.

Perfect for my needs
I have this antenna inside a closet, facing towards the Denver transmitters. It is on a closet shelf, on an outside wall, about 30' up. It is lying flat. This antenna is picking up 55 channels perfectly, from not only the Denver Transmitters to the south, but the Frederick transmitters to the southeast. It is picking up channels 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 12 (from Boulder on 22 15Kw), 14, 20, 25, 31, 38, 41/44 (15Kw), 50, and 59. Without the amplifiers it picked up all these channels, but some were breaking up. With the amplifiers, they all come in perfectly.I suspect, if I could have this outside (HOA issues), I probably could pick up weaker channels.I like the quality of this unit; it is solid. But, the amplifier, with LTE filtering, is a solid and real serious item. It is not one of the cheap in line amplifiers, but it is solidly built. It also has the ability to feed 2 Tvs, if desired. If this can work, with the terrain I have to deal with, it will work just about any where. I have a 6000 foot mesa, and a number of hills, between here and the Denver transmitters. So, if you live in a place like Dallas, this Dallas or Houston, you can pick up everything well within 70 miles.
