Quality Tire for 1997 Dodge RAM 1500 w/ Quick S&H to Anchorage, AK
This is a great tire for a half-ton truck as it's XL rated...that's the limit of the tires: 3/4 ton & 1 ton need not buy..."move along as these aren't the 'droids (tires) you're looking for".Not only that, the 4 tires that were ordered on a Wednesday morning came w/ quick shipping to Anchorage, AK on a Friday (2 days later). These tires do great on the highway and off-pavement work where a light truck may go to do some light to medium hauling. Also, the design of them have built in sidewall "heatsinks" to help dissipate heat away from the tire sidewall for extra tire life + a silica compound for extra grip.At the Falken website concerning these AT3W tires, they show a nice late model 1/2 ton Dodge Ram 4 door truck, so it was figured no wrong can be done in getting these for the old '97 1/2 ton Ram with 5.9L v8!Great value for the money and they can last up to 55,000 mile *IF* a person takes the time to take care of them i.e. NOT doing idiot teenager type of burn-outs because the vehicle has a v8, rotating the tires and re-balancing them every year. These 2 ply sidewall can be said they "almost" approach the greatness the 3 ply sidewall BFG All-Terrain KO2 (which is used on the supercharged 2003 Jeep TJ that's parked next to the '97 Ram) and are a great value for ANY light truck or SUV owner to have.Bottom line: worth the money for casual use and the great fast shipping from Amazon Prime!!!

First time ordering tires via Amazon and it was easy
My usual tire and brake shop did not have the Falken's in stock and they suggested ordering via Amazon. It was easy and quite economical. As to the tires, there are many reviews on YouTube. The Wildpeak AT3W are great tires and improved the ride of my old truck. It was an excellent purchase.

Great tires
These are great tires. I installed them on my 2003 F-150 in July. Since then I have driven them in mud, snow, dirt and pavement and could not be more please with their performance. They are quiet on pavement and provide a smooth ride on the highway while providing ample traction in muddy conditions and in snow as well.My first snow test on these tires was in a combination of mud and snow on forest roads this fall. These tires were able to maintain perfect traction in these conditions. I never felt the truck slip or slide. This winter so far we have had several inches of snow of the roads and again these tires are able to dig through the snow.I have not noticed any wear as of yet and I have put about 6000 miles on them. These are great tires.

Xlnt slush, snow and ice, dry paved twisty mountain roads, quiet on the interstate and in town. Limited (or careful)rocky trails
Update: I sold the Jeep ZJ and kept the tires for my recently acquired '03 F150 7700- (a 150 with 250 drivetrain)- they were doing just fine on a seriously steep and rocky trail (Crafts Peak near Green Valley Lake). Got through one gnarly obstacle then later flew over a serious rockledge which punctured (ripped) the sidewall of the right front tire. Luckily, I made it a short way to the summit on a level section with my just acquired Smittybilt Farm Jack (literally delivered to my door via Prime just 2 hours previous).I was able to go exploring with these tires on my heavy truck (7700 GVWR), seriously off road and trail, but failed on the super sharp rocks of the San Berdoo mountains. As I stated below, the tires performed admirably, but now I feel limited in where I can go (maybe something to do with my driving technique, but, hey).I will now spend the extra bux and get a tougher tire like the WildPeak MT, the KO2 or MT ATZp3. Maybe try the AT3W in120 instead of the 112... Ultimately, MTRs with Kevlar.I want to go wherever and not worry about it.Another point, the door label sez 60lbs in back but the tire sez max 50 lbs. hmmm...For the money, a great value but if you want to really go off road, then get a tougher tire. It will cost twice as much, but what price peace of mind?May 28 2017Xlnt! 3 Peak Mountain snowflake rated ice and snow in the mountains - 245/75 16 on 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD "ZJ" 4x4 as large as I could go without a lift. Air down to 12 psi and hit the forest roads in San Bernardino Mountains- OK up to about 18" snow on an incline, up to 2' flat ground.Dreamin' of KO2s? Save your money! this is the best deal for All Terrain tire. Xlnt on pavement also- had steep incline slush no problem. No mud yet, but snow in the mountains cant beat the deal! The '02 4runner on 33" KO2s got stuck on slushie incline and my ZJ with Falkens walked right past him

Great tire and price.
Arrived on time. Mounted and balanced great. Looks great on my 2012 tacoma. Very little road noise. Grips well in rain and snow. Haven't been in the mud yet to comment on that. Would buy again.

My new favorite! Way better deal than Toyo or BFG.
Hands down, the best all-terrain tires that I have ever owned! They have excellent grip on wet streets, and handle phenomenally on primitive (unmaintained) washed out back roads with exposed rocks . They allow me to take my 2WD Tacoma pickup on roads that I would normally only take a Jeep. They're as quiet as the Dunlop AT20 tires that came stock with my pickup, and they are great in corners that felt spongy with the Dunlops. I was previously loyal to Les Schwab's Toyo tires, but these are far better for about half the cost. No regrets at all. I recommend them to friends.

and I love them. 31" size looks great on my 2000 ...
5k miles on the tire so far, and I love them. 31" size looks great on my 2000 grand cherokee w/ 2" of lift, and they have worked great in all conditions: dry pavement, heavy rain, mud, rocks, dirt, and I expect they will be excellent in snow too.
