This is a very good stand, especially if you have a smaller laptop. My wife uses a 17inch laptop and it fit's perfectly on the stand. The mouse pad part can't be really used for a mouse pad but it's like a good extra smaller stand. It can be used on the sofa, on the bed or just on the table.

This unit is the very exact opposite of sturdy. the adjustment is just plain stressful and the build quality is so poor I was infuriated with it the moment I unboxed it. When I ordered this so-called stand while I was traveling and as such I couldn't return it until it was too late, now I am stuck with a garbage product that nearly broke my laptop screen upon trying to use it. So my recommendation is DO NOT BUY.

Its cheap but is a quality produce. You would say its slightly flimsy but that's because its on the bed. The mouse holder could be a little stronger I suppose. Yet, overall this is a fabulous product at a fabulous price. Well worth it.

the laptop table/stand is quite weak and cannot stand the laptop.we were afraid to use it and risk the laptop would fall & get damaged.definitely NOT good for laptops, can be OK for notepads when it is used by itself without any other itemswe wasted our money buying it and now we have to pay more to buy another one

This is super easy to carry and use. Very comfortable to use while lying in bed. Only point of contention is the readings in the legs aren't accurate and cannot be set same on both sides to make the top plane equally flat. You need to adjust each legs separately (and it might go different readings on each legs) to feel the plane to be flat for you. Once set, there you go, and just leave it with that setting forever. Nevertheles, makers can perform this quality test on the plan surface by keeping the same scale reading on both the legs to see if it is really flat at the top.

Putting any weight on it felt like it was going to break

Considering the VariDesk brand is upwards of $400, I consider this a good value for my needs. I have my laptop on this at home, so I'm not spending 8+ hours a day on it. After working 8+ hours a day sitting, the last thing I want to do is sit at home on my computer. I like being able to stand at home for what I need to do.The mousepad holder is convenient, although it's not very sturdy. You can't put a lot of pressure on it, but then again, that's not what it's designed for.No, it's not easy to convert this from a sitting to a standing desk, but the multiple angles is the reason I bought it. I could customize my setup. So if you're looking for a riser that will stay in place, or perhaps even move somewhat, this will work. So far, I haven't found an issue when typing, but again, this isn't my main work desk.I liked the open feature of it, too. So I can pile my papers underneath it while having my laptop on top. I also like the vented platform area, I'm hoping that will help the fan in my laptop keep it cooler.
