Works well but not perfect
I’m a beginner snowboarder, falling on my ass every time I go down the hill pretty much. I bought this because I fell straight down in a sitting 90 degrees position on frozen icy snow and bruised my tailbone badly. I couldn’t move effectively or use butt muscles to get up for 3 weeks due to the injury. For the first 2 weeks it hurt to even poop. After I healed, I was eager to continue snowboarding and I got this padding to prevent a nasty fall like that again. I’ve gone snowboarding twice since I got this and fell repeatedly. I still ended up with a slightly sore tailbone though but not as bad as the other time. The reason is probably because the pad on the back doesn’t actually go over my tail bone but hits slightly above it. I’m not sure if that’s intentional or just my body is different. In any case it’s better than nothing.I like that these pants don’t add bulk and works well enough to prevent major injury, much more preferred than not being able to even use the bathroom or lie down without pain for weeks.

I fell and they didn't protect me
I ride a Onewheel, an electric skateboard that goes upwards of 20mph on both pavement and trails. I have another pair of G-Form impact shorts that were wearing out; with a big race coming up I decided to treat myself. I couldn't find the same ones again, so I ordered these at nearly twice the price.I fell the first day wearing these and got a massive bruise on my hip, right NEXT to the padding. When I put on my old impact shorts, the padding landed squarely over the bruise. So the positioning of the padding on this product is not quite right, and it was not just an unlucky fall since my other impact shorts would have covered that spot. It was a shame, since they fit comfortably and arrived quickly, well in advance of my race.Ended up getting a $40 pair that was just as comfortable and had padding in the appropriate position. They also arrived quickly and even ended up matching my race jersey! Moral of the story: Don't pay triple for the name brand!

BUTT SAVER
I’m not going to lie, when I got these I was skeptical. This was third pair of impact shorts I tried- the other two were bulky and didn’t protect well at all. These are seriously incredible! I bruised my tailbone badly two weekends riding in a row. Since I started wearing these, I haven’t had any tailbone injuries- and Ive taken some pretty gnarly falls right on my behind. When you start to advance in snowboarding, you’re going to start taking falls at faster speeds and the injuries just get worse- I highly recommend doing your butt and sanity and favor and getting these!

Do Not Recommend
0/10. I broke my tailbone while wearing these. Some lessons are learned the hard way. Take it from me, there are much better options for protective riding gear out there. Wouldn't recommend these.

Helpful for snowboarding beginner
Bought for snowboarding lessons. Definitely helped but ... 3 stars because pattern is awful (only bought because Amazon was out of black at the time), sizing is a little off (waisted elastic is tight so even though I wear a 0/2 I needed a medium but the rest of the pant was then a little roomy) and more tailbone padding would have been helpful - the hip padding was really useless. But all in all I would say item - or item like it - is a must if you are learning to snowboard and you are not naturally well padded.

Pricey
The support and comfort were similar to a cheaper pair so I returned them.

Comfortable and does not limit mobililty for snowboarding
The print pattern is ugly... black was sold out...However in terms of comfort and protection it was really good. I wore it over my base layer and wore my ski pants over it. I didn’t even relize that I was wearing the shorts.Saved my tailbone! For reference, I bought size Medium. I’m 5’6, weight around 128 lb, athletic built. It was a bit roomy around the waist... I think size Small would have fit well but was not available.

Does not prevent bruising from occurring
I wanted to love these. They fit great, I have worn them about 4 times now (bought last March) and they were great for spring snowboarding and powder snow, but just came back from Tahoe with a 4 inch round black and purple bruise on my butt! I thought these pants were supposed to prevent bruising from snowboarding but they do not work too well. Would return them if I could but I think it’s too late do not recommend for terrain park use if you are not that great at landing a jump.

Comfortable but does not protect the tailbone
I'm 5"2, 49 kg, and athletic build. I wanted to buy these shorts for the main reason of protecting my tailbone. I just received them today and I tried them on. They are very comfortable. The material is very smooth and the padding feels weightless. However, I will be returning them because the back padding sits right above my tailbone. I uploaded a photo comparing what is advertised (left side) vs. what it actually looks like on me (right side).

Comfortable
They fit well and are comfortable, but don't quite protect as well as I was expecting.

a great product.
Used for snowboarding. Didn’t feel a thing when I fell. My only complaint is that the waist band is a bit uncomfortably tight. Overall, a great product.

Very comfortable.
Very comfortable product. Purchased one size larger as other reviews said they fit small. I believe that is correct.
