Don't past this one up because of the reviews!
OK, everyone here is my review… you won’t find a better Motion LED at this price point. I purchased this light even though there were a few less than favorable reviews. I found all the negative comments to be frivolous for the most part.I will explain:1. The reviewer who stated the whole light is cheap plastic. Well, the back plate is metal as is required I believe. Very thin, but it is metal not plastic. The light dome is the same grade plastic you would find on any plastic dome light.2. One reviewer stated the wires are off colored. Well, they are correct. They are not your normal BK,WH,GN. But the ground is clearly tabbed as the ground, and anybody who knows the basics about electricity can figure out which wire is which. All wires are clearly shown on the light plate and where they go.3. Another reviewer stated the wire leads were not striped back far enough to connect. Well that was true also. But, if you don’t know how to strip a wire back you have no business installing an electric light to begin with. Sorry, but I feel that is very true.4. Another reviewer stated the proper holes for their mounting box would not line-up. Mine did not either and I had to drill standard mounting holes in the metal backing plate. Not a big deal to anyone how is hand with tools. Added about 2 min to the install of 5 min.Overall I have to say this light is really nice. It’s good and bright white. I would estimate it at 100-120W bright white. This light does not have your normal motion sensor. It is a radar sensor! It will pick you up from around a corner! Very Nice! I installed this light in a room with no windows that we keep for pets litter boxes. We used to keep a standard light on 24hrs a day. This light comes on before the pet even enters the room, which is great for us and off a minute after leaving.Another thing, it is cool to the touch no matter how long it is on. Amazing! The test of time is the only thing between this being a good light and a great light. If it lasts a year it more than pays for itself in electric savings. If it had the proper holes in the backing plate, I would have rated it 5 stars.Wife wants a couple more installed in our walk-in closets. If you’re a little handy and have a use for this type of light, no worries here, order one!

Great Light; Poor Instructions
It's a great lamp. I put it in my kitchen. Just before I enter the kitchen (about 15 feet from the lamp, but with a refrigerator and a wall in the way), the lamp turns on. It goes off shortly after I leave the room.Instructions are very poor, but you don't need much. The instructions say to replace the three wires on the lamp with the three electrical leads. I couldn't remove any of the wires. I lifted the plastic caps and pulled, but they remained tight. So I used standard wire connectors and joined those wires to the electrical leads. This worked, but when the light is on, I can see shadows from the connectors. I could probably rearrange the wires, but it looks good enough as it is.Other than attaching the wires, all you have to do is screw it to the ceiling and screw on the globe. This is very light. I attached it with the three included screws. It also came with three pitiful plastic anchors. I didn't need them. The three screws will hold it. It is extremely light.I will probably buy two more. One for my very dark, windowless work room because it is one of the two entrances to the house and the light switches are in the middle. And one for my laundry room for a similar reason.

I am all excited
Being skeptical first because of the mixed reviews, I am all excited now. For that price I did not have unrealistic expectations about a heavy duty glass dome, and honestly why should it be? The LED lights are so little and lightweight that a heavy lamp would be an overkill. I exchanged it with an old fashioned ceiling light in my bathroom, and it was a breeze to connect it to the existing junction box. For that I just took the extension wires that came with the lamp (I have to admit they are are bit flimsy) out and plugged the wires from the box directly into the connector. Yes, the color coding is different, but they identify the coding in the accompanying instructions. Done, and works perfectly. Attaching the lamp with the three screws to the ceiling just takes a 3/16 drill bit, inserting the anchors and screws, and the lamp is securely placed on the ceiling. All in all - less than a five minute job.First I thought that the lamp is malfunctioning because it turned on when I used the switch, and it turned off after a while, but it did not turn on again just by moving close. But then I read the seller's description on their listing again where it says that the motion sensor identifies the surrounding light status. So, at daylight it just remains on standby. And sure enough, at night it worked perfectly as advertised. One also needs to know that the lamp turns off if no motion is detected - means that you will suddenly be in the dark if you remain motionless in the room. If you are reading something or so, you just need to wave your hand to go back to the bright side. Therefore, this lamp is not suitable for every use. If you want a steady light, there are other lamps without motion detectors available. I think that it is very important to read the descriptions carefully before ordering a product and then writing a disappointed review because of the wrong expectations. The lamp itself is very bright and fully illuminates my standard bathroom for its normal purpose and is very convenient, especially when my grand kids are over. If I need a steady light, I turn my mirror lights on.I just ordered another one for my walk-in closet for which it will be perfectly suited. This lamp easily beats any old school lamp in price, energy savings, appearance and safety. It remains cool to the touch and has all the necessary code certifications. The only annoying point is that the seller lists a totally unrealistic price at the first place and then shows a "Sales Price" with supposedly huge savings. This practice, more and more common now on Amazon, unfortunately puts a tint of untruthfulness on the entire listing.
