ACDC 12V Air Conditioner and Reverse Cycle Heat Pump, Battery Powered, 6000 BTU, 20 SEER, R134A Refrigerant Pre-filled, Mini-Split A/C with 10ft Rubber Hose and Complete Installation Kit

First off the unit is solid, easy instillation, I did a total DIY install, very straight forward install. The unit has a pretty low power draw is does a great job keeping my expedition vehicle cool. BUT that is not what this review is for. The unit is solid and you would be stupid not to buy it; no this review is about the company that sells this unit. I cannot say enough great things about it, first off the company answered via text every question I had. Not only did he answer all my questions, but they answered their phone after hours while they were running errands. Then they proceeded to walk me though the vacuum process for 45 minutes. AFTER HOURS WHILE HE WAS OUT DOING ERRANDS. You name me any ANY company that provides this level of customer service.I am running this system with 412ah of lithium and 1000w on the roof, I have not had to pull out the generator, runs beautifully.

Uses 600w max, 500w when you don't have the strong button on. Has been keeping me cool the last few weeks and haven't had any issues, works great ,uses very little power!Reached out for the 20ft hoses and worked perfect very easy process, rent the vac pump and gauges at parts stores, needed adapter to valve but otherwise simple, vac it down and open the valves!I have 1200w solar along with 600ah of lithuim, I cook on electric as well!

This Seller is incredible on customer service, very responsible and responsive to the customer needs. I installed the unit myself and the installation was mostly straight-forward. I like that I can install the compressor under the chassis and I cleaned up the look of the interior unit (photo attached). The unit is very quiet and blows cold air but must be run at the highest fan setting and the coldest temperature to make a difference in my well insulated Ford Transit buildout. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars and not 5 is because the shipping box its housed in could be more robust, mine came slightly damaged from shipping (torn box) exposed contents but in the end ,the unit performed. Secondly, 6000 BTU is the lowest BTU to cool a vehicle, yes it works but 9000 BTU would be a welcomed upgrade.

A family member installed this ACDC air conditioner in my converted Promaster. The compressor is underneath, where the spare tire formerly was located. The interior unit is above and and to one side of the bed. All the hose and wiring was exactly as the pictures posted by the seller on Amazon depicted, so that part was easy. We hired an air conditioning tech to do the technical part after the major pieces were installed. He was impressed with the whole unit. No additional refrigerant was needed with the 10-ft hoses. After I mislaid the original remote control in the months between the arrival of the AC and the actual installation, Velo Solar provided me with a replacement, treating me very kindly. We recently used the air conditioner in 90+ F heat. The van cooled quickly, impressing all involved. The low noise level was amazing. I truly hope that this product is back in stock soon, so others can take advantage of this great improvement in home-built camper technology. I have updated my review to one star and I do not recommend this unit under any circumstances. It never held a charge. It does pull down to a vacuum but doesn’t stay vacuumed. During installation, we noticed oil leaking from the outside compressor. This is after it arrived damaged with crushed wiring and was clear it had been shipped that way as the box and interior foam were all intact. Very disappointed. I’ve been quoted between $1500 and $2600 to repair it. What a joke. Two other Skoolie owners have not bought this unit after witnessing our experience with it.Original review:We have not yet installed this as we will have to repair the damage first. The item appears to have been shipped in a damaged state - broken plastic and crushed wires but the packaging was intact and the item was securely in its foam support. I have my fingers crossed that the slice in the foam surrounding the refrigerant line did not effect the line itself. I’m disappointed and don’t think I’d recommend this product or company. I’m an experienced full time traveler working on my second Skoolie build and I expect better from high end components at this price point.

This unit is exactly what we were looking for! We did a shuttle bus conversion and plan on doing a lot of boondocking and needed a solution that would run off solar/batteries. We actually ordered the 12v and then switched our plans to 24v. I reached our to the company asking to swap out to the 24v model and they met up with me in person! (luckily we both are located in AZ). I then reached out for installation support and they came out and helped me hook it up! I would rate them at 6 stars for sure. Blows super cold air and is efficient! Highly recommend

Cools and heats which was a life saver without out a functioning gas heater. The compressor as mounted directly to the roof of our van is very noisy. The transmitted sound from the compressor mounted directly on the roof of our van was significant and far outpaced any noise from the head unit itself. This was mounted directly to the roof by a van upfitter who did a generally poor job. The plan is to put on a roof rack and mount the compressor to that hoping it will help isolate the sound significantly. Will post updates once done.
