Super Bright & Super Support
I use flashlights every single day for security reasons and have been using them for years. I have amassed a collection of flashlights for work insecurity and law enforcement since the early 1990's and have paid well over $100.00 dollars for a single flashlight while demanding a reliable lightthat is bright, rechargeable, durable and functional. I received my BlueFire in November and was absolutely impressed with how bright the beam is and how far that brightness extends. The beam focuses from a a tiny (6" x 6") square at three feet to maybe 30' x 30' at 200 yards and that is without adjusting the beam. I don't need a flashlight to illuminate beyond 200 feet for how I use it it, much less 200 yards, longer distances (or shorter) can easily be met by using a spot light. But this flashlight is comparable in size to my professional and expensive tactical flashlight for a fraction of the cost, and its way way brighter! I'm impressed! This is the brightest hand-sized flashlight I have ever owned. This flashlight allows you to use 3 "AAA" batteries or you can instead use rechargeable lithium 3600mAh batteries. I purchased the Outlite 18650 rechargeable batteries also from Amazon to feed my light which seems like a really good choice thus far. Unfortunately within only a few weeks, with frequent and repeated use the front lens came loose and unseated itself. I was disappointed and resorted to using a backup flashlight until I decided what I would do with the now ineffective flashlight. The BlueFire Tech Support reached out to me so I responded back to them and let them know about my issue. All I asked for was a solution to the problem. What truly blows me away is that they responded within only minutes to my email, minutes from sending it they had replied to my request, WOW! These guys care abouttheir reputation and in turn, their customers. After another email exchange they sent a replacement flashlight a day later. That was over a weekago that I received the replacement and I am happily satisfied with the response they provided me. So much so, I ordered two more flashlights and I am putting them through their paces to find out if these lights will stand the test of time. I hope these flashlights will last a minimum of ayear and I'll be totally pleased. I don't test with scientific methods like water proof, drop tests or lumen test to see how bright they actually are. I only use the flashlights throughout the course of my day and they perform well.I give BlueFire Tech Support five stars for customer service as well as five stars for a highly useful, inexpensive, bright flashlight. I think 2 things could improve the flashlight further: 1) adjusting the beam could be made to be a smoother process, and 2) If the flashlight had no smooth surfaces it would be less slippery in a sweating hand. I'm not saying these are flaws, just that these improvements would increase the value of the flashlight for me. (and probably increase the cost in the process) Again, to sum it up this is a good flashlight at a good price and now I'm a fan of BlueFire.

A fun, cheap flashlight with an unusual beam pattern!
I have several expensive LED flashlights that use the wonderful 18650 batteries and I was curious to see what this cheap one would be like. As expected, the construction quality is not that great, but it works well enough and the beam pattern is very unusual. I would compare it to a movie or slide projector beam. The pattern is very wide, perfectly round and the illumination is perfectly distributed throughout. This would be great for illuminating a work area or playing shadow puppet games. :)I think I will keep in in my vehicle for working under the hood or changing a tire at night. It would be perfect for that.Update, June 2, 2019: I bought two more of these silly lights. I use them for working on stuff, like under the kitchen sink, where the very wide projector beam is quite handy. I'm a flashlight enthusiast, so I have a big collection of lights that cost $50 and up. The low quality of these BlueFire lights makes me laugh. For one thing, they claim to have adjustable focus, but they don't. You can turn the front of the reflector housing till it comes off and the beam pattern doesn't change.Another funny thing is that the battery contacts are reversed. Normally, the springy one is negative and the simple protruding nub is positive, but not with Bluefire! You have been warned! LOL

Decent tactical light for a reasonable price
The flashlight works well for the purpose of tactical self defense tool; even at 5 feet, it can temporarily blind someone if directed at their face. And yes, it works equally well for that purpose with 3 AAA batteries and a 3.7 V Li-on battery. Several reviewers said the AAA were no good but in my subjective opinion, they are just as good as the Li-on battery- cannot tell the difference.Keep in mind that this is NOT a searchlight so forget about lighting 200 yards- it is an unrealistic expectation. You might want to get larger flashlights which take many D type batteries for such a purpose; I have that and it is considerably heavier. This type of flashlight is something you carry on your person or in your personal effects.I just bought this item so I cannot vouch for its durability. The zoom feature does its job and the several position settings ( Hi, low, strobe, SoS) also work as advertised. I wish it would retain the last position so we don't have to cycle through to low position to conserve battery every time it is switched on.

Great Emergency light.
Just received this light. It comes with the option to use three AAA batteries or use a 18650 battery. I added the 18650 2500 mAh 3.7 rechargedable battery feature which is a sleeve to hold the battery. While I don’t have the ability to measure actual brightness or the lux output, I can say this is the brightest handheld small light I’ve operated. I would not want to view it from a close distance as it will surely be blinding, which for security defenses is good.I like the slightly larger size than other smaller led flashlight I have. I has a nice feel, seems well made. I also like the neon green on off button. The light field of view is adjustable by sliding in or out. Sliding it out, I liked the nice size of the front frame, it illuminates my backyard clearly. This same mode when lights up a 20x20 room nicely also. When zoomed to its tightest focus beam, it as expected is very bright. I wasn’t able to test how far it would illuminate something as there’s too much light in my area, but I’m confident it will be more than I’ll ever need. There is rubber neon o-rings sealing the battery compartment but not one on the front led lenses cap. I’ll be adding a little vaseline to both to keep to moisture out.

Very bright, solid construction
A very solidly constructed torch, it feels like good quality in your hand. It's was very bright for its size. I liked the focal hood which concentrates the light beam to a small area, or expands the lit area. I'm not sure if the battery life is good or bad as I haven't really used it long enough to test this.

cheap,bright & sturdy
as others have mentioned its probably not 1200 lumens however that doesnt mean its not worth the money, ive been using this for a few months and its one of the best torches (around this price point) that ive owned. its got an adjustable light to be able to see further by focusing the light into a single point as well as SOS and some flashing mode that will give u a seizure if you want. the torch itself is made from metal & the wrist strap hasn't shown any signs of wear yet. perfect for urban exploration.

Amazing torch
This is a very bright torch. It is also adjustable and the range of the light beam can be changed. It can last long as it is LED chip.I thought it is a good value for money.

It's a little underpowered.
What I most dislike is that I only want to use the first setting, but every time I use it I end up having to cycle through 5 settings to get back to the one I want to use. I wish there was a way to fix it on a setting.
