Sharpens well.
For the price I am enjoying this knife. The steel deburs well and takes an edge without needing a micro bevel unlike another similar knife that does require a micro bevel. The edges weren't over buffed causing round corners or back beveled very much at all requiring a lot of reprofiling like another similar knife did. I use then to trim tight curves in 13oz leather. I am happy with it and that it doesn't flex like a #2 hobby knife does. I have a feeling this one is going to stick around the shop for awhile.

Beautiful, sharp, sturdy, holds an edge, easy to sharpen and durable. This thing is built to last and be a great tool. Love mine. The wood handle is so dense and polished, and the brass ferrule is a nice touch. I like ALL my Owden tools that I have and I have probably 7 or 8 of their items. Never have I been disappointed in one of their items. Better than craftool pro x10 but maybe not quite Barry King level. Loving this brand. Middle on price, high end on quality.

Very nice knife.For light to medium cutting this knife is great.For heavier cutting ( leather ) the handle is too round and rotates a bit while cutting.

Great knife for the $$$
Just got my new Owden pro precision knife and I gotta say for $14 i'm super impressed... It's Crazy sharp.. I tried it on a 10 oz piece of leather and it went thru like butter.. You won't go wrong with this leather knife..

Excellent for skilled craftsman
Generally, I use a single bevels for my Japanese Skiving knives. Before upgrading to a handmade single bevel craft knife for cutting out my leather patterns, I wanted to see if I would even like using one. So I bought this. It is far superior than I imagined!! If I was new in crafting, I would think my Excel Xacto knife would be better, but with just a few years under my belt, I can already appreciate this. Cuts through my 5-6 oz natty veg tan, like butter. Easy peasy with my high end European leathers, 3-4 oz. I've solely been stroping it to not lose that edge, which likely would not happen for a long time anyways. Best to maintain!My spouse has been using it as well, so I just ordered a second. D2 steel. You won't be disappointed.
