It works for 20ga
I scoured the net looking for confirmation that this will work on a Mossberg 500 20ga, but nobody seemed to have tried. I am happy to announce it fits just fine.

Ships as it is. Beware of Rattling washer
They delivered as expected. In fact, they delivered in the actual Magpul product box. A-Prime delivery was exceptional and timely as well.Caution: I opened the stock up because I initially heard a rattling near the grip. In the process, I left knife indentations on the grip to access two hidden screws to take apart the stock completely. In the end, I found the rattling to come from a loose washer which stops rattling once the stock is tightened to the shotgun. Spare your stock unnecessary knifing and know that the washer will stop rattling once you tighten the product to your gun.

The more I use it the more I like it.
For starters I am a pandemic buyer. Meaning -my Mossberg Bantam 20 gauge is the first firearm I have ever owned. That said here is my take on this stock.First off this stock seems to fit the 20 gauge gun quite well There is approximately a 1/16” overlap all around where the stock meets the receiver. No big deal as it tightens up really well and seems secure. Have shot over 100 rounds and feels very secure. As for the stock bolt it is not like the long bolt that is used on the factory stock.-as others have said using the included Alan wrench is a bit of a pain so go slowly turning the bolt and maybe backing off a little after each turn to “ unstick” the wrench. ( Once you do it you will understand what I mean)Also -as others have said the join of the stock to the receiver does get in the way of removing the trigger mechanism when cleaning the gun -but backing off a few turns to loosen the stock will solve the problem. Now - the main reason I bought this stock was that my grip on the original Mossberg (and a Hogue) stock was creating a Carpel tunnel issue in my wrist for me. The Magpul design solved the problem. And finally this stock is a bit heavier than the other two but that may help if you need to use the gun as a hand to hand combat weapon -??For me it’s a keeper-Update- I have discovered that by using an approximately two inch long H6 hex bit in a mini hex wrench makes loosening the stock bolt a lot easier The enclosed 1/4 wrenchwas the source of a lot of frustration for me.The more I use this stock the more I like it.

Like the stock, but there are some issues...
Received today. Installation is pretty simple in concept, but very clunky in practice. First, there's little room to get the hex key into the bolt head, and you'll only get a bit more than 90 degrees of turn. Then the wrench will bind in the bolt head, making that a bit difficult to remove. All of this makes installation more laborious than is necessary. But the real gripe is that, with the stock installed, you can't remove the trigger group to clean the gun. You first have to go through the unnecessarily ponderous task of removing the stock, and then reinstalling it when you're finished cleaning or servicing your weapon.

Perfect
This stock is great, fit the maverick 88 perfectly!! I was worried and rolled the dice and happy I did. The spacers that come with it are a great way to help make it comfortable for all length of arms. Thanks

Almost Perfect stock for your shotgun.
I am becoming a serious student of the defensive shotgun. This stock works very well for reducing the Length of Pull of the stock and making the shotgun perform better in a defensive role. The stock will reduce LOP down to approximately 12.5 inches. You can make it longer using the provided spacers. The stock is stiff enough, good quality. The ergonomics of the grip are better than the original Mossberg stock. The stock is highly adaptable with the optional attachment points. Magpul Customer Service is Excellent. I lost a piece due to my own fault. I contacted them and they shipped me a replacement at no cost! Highly recommended. Unless you need a stock shorter than 12.5 inches, this is the one to get.

Good upgrade to my shotgun
I like this stock because it allows you to adjust your length of pull according to the user while trying to keep the ergonomic of a traditional stock and a little of the pistol grip stock. I enjoy shooting with a shorter length of pull and the design and setup of my shotgun allows me to acquire the red dot immediately. Very important for tactical or home defense if you need to shorten the overall length of the shotgun a little more. The added cheek riser is also a plus for higher optics, even though this is a $15 addon. There were some negatives about this stock. Number 1, it must be lossen in order to remove the receiver for cleaning, you can take a dremel and remove some of the plastic near the receiver but I do not recommend this if it's under warranty. Second, installation was a bit tedious as the angle doesn't allow for a full turn of the screw. And third I found nothing special about the recoil pad, it still hurts after a long day of shooting slugs.

Need to sand out the trigger guard housing on the buttstock.
I would have given this a 5 star, however, it gets only a 4 star because you do need to dremel out a little of the stock where the back of the trigger housing is. If you do not you can not pull the trigger out when breaking down the Mossberg 590. You will need to shave off about 1MM of the stock where the trigger housing is. If you decide not to do that you will need to loosen up the stock to remove the trigger housing when breaking down and cleaning your Mossberg 590.I do not like that idea as I do not want to keep on loosening or tightening the stock bolt as I would fear it could possibly strip the bolt sometime in the future especially if you go shooting a lot (which I do). Overall, the Magpul stock is better than the stock Mossberg stock. Other than that minor issue, I would highly recommend this stock.
