Spring Clamp LED Lamp which I hope keeps my curry-leaf plant alive during this winter!
The media could not be loaded. Winter is almost here - which means for us plant lovers that we have to pay extra attention to those plants that have to be protected from frost, snow, chilly weather or in my case, a plant that requires a lot of light. Yes. The curry leaf plant thrives in tropical climates - which means that it requires minimum 8 hrs of sunlight per day and also requires warm temperatures. So, towards the end of this fall, I took the plant indoor in order to keep it warm. To take care of it's sunlight requirements, I ordered this lamp. Yes, I do realize that this lamp is meant to be clamped on to a desk and used for desk plants. But I decided to take a different approach and clamp it on to the handrail of my stairs and use it on a moderately bigger plant. I'm not entirely sure that this would be entirely effective. I promise to update my review in a couple of months - with the news of my plant's well being! As of now, I'd like to write a few points that I felt as soon as I received and tried to set up this lamp:~ The product arrived on time and in perfect condition. No damages at all. As the holiday season is approaching, Amazon has started rolling out the holiday packing that I love, so Yaaay (pictures included)!~ As of now, the lamp works perfectly. The On/OFF switch is in a perfect working condition too. The spring clamp is a little hard to open but it clamps on to the surface (in my case - handrail) firmly. Once you attach the clamp, the lamp remains immobile (unless you try applying a huge force in which case it would definitely dislocate).~ Even though this lamp is meant for desk plants, it does provide enough light to cover my curry leaf plant, which is moderately big. But as to whether or not this lamp is effective enough in keeping my plant alive, this is a little too early to be answering that question. I will update my review in a couple of months!~ The only problem that I felt was that the user manual is a little vague. This is a spring clamp lamp - easy to set up. But the user manual provides 3 different methods using which you can clamp the lamp. The first method is to clamp it on to a surface like a normal spring clamp, which is what I have done. The second method is where you have to fix the clamp using a screw (provided with the lamp). This method is a little vague as I have illustrated in my video and I have decided not to follow this step as I feel that this might damage the wire (Video attached with this review). The third method is sticking the clamp on a flat surface using a double sided tape - I have not tried this either.~ The spring clamp can be opened to a maximum thickness of 50 mm.~ Warning - The surface of the LED lamp - right outside the bulbs, gets highly heated within a few minutes of switching ON. Please be careful regarding this issue!Update after 2 months of use:The grow light works fine. My places are alive. And since it is possible to adjust the position of the lamp easily, I'm able to use this for my other plants as well. And they are all alive. But I did make it a point to shift my plants towards sunlight whenever it was possible!

Low cost, highly effective
Overall, great purchase for my one basil plant. I wanted to save my plant after the summer, and being in a north facing apartment meant that the winter would be too dark inside for my basil to grow. I saw other reviews that the light was very hot, so I set the light up on a smart plug timer so it will cycle on an off for about 6 hours a day to make sure it wouldn’t roast my plant. But I have come to find out the it’s not the light intensity that is hot, but the physical lightbulb that gets hot. I have also noticed a lot of new growth on my plant, which is exciting because I love using fresh basil in my cooking. Overall, if you are looking for a compact and effective grow light that won’t cost a small fortune, I recommend this one.

Great Powerful Little Light At A Great Price!
I use this handy, very compact light to nurture my tiny desk cactus. I was looking for a way to make sure that this little plant got what it needed while being at the desk and this plant light seems to do the trick. It is quite a bright pink so I leave it on overnight because otherwise it is too bright to really stare at all day or be around. It probably depends where you keep your plant but the clamp on this light works extremely well for me. It perfectly grisps my desk and the adjustable lamp neck lets me target my plant quite well. If you're keeping your plants on a windowsill or very thick table, the clamp my not work for you. Additionally, if you're looking for a plant light for a rather large plant, this one probably will not work either. This is really meant for small indoor plants that just need a little extra care.

Powerful light
I set this light to reign over my sweet potato plants, clamping it into the shelf. It provides a nice warm purple glow over the room in the night. I've noticed that under the influence of this light, the leaves are especially lush and flourishing. This is an excellent price for such a nice product.

Plant is growing gangbusters
I had added this to my wishlist and actually purchased it months later in a rush, so did not realize the light was pink and felt a bit dumb when it arrived. However the plant I've got it on is doing AMAZING after 3 months - lots of new growth, nice and thick and intense color. The clip and gooseneck are great, I've placed the plant and light in many different locations so love the flexibility that gives. Quite pleased with the purchase even if I did think I was getting a white light and got hot pink.

Worked well enough but is now dead
I bought one of these in February 2018 and used it daily for some Succulent plants. I had it plugged into a smart plug which was being controlled by an Alexa routine to mimic sunrise and sunset. So the light was on 9-16 hours per day. The light has just stopped working for me this week, so it lasted about 6 years and 11 months. I wish I could replace the bulb but alas that doesn't seem to be possible. I assume it is the bulb but I do not know for certain. The light just stopped working. Usually I see led lights have a diode or two fail at a time, but this just had everything stop. It potentially could be a problem with the plug or the switch and not the bulb.As many other reviews have stated, the color is a bit jarring since it is a bright pink. This tried to have the red and white wavelengths, which plants love, from the same led diodes in order to reduce the overall number of diodes.I did have some problems with the flexible neck (getting it into the right position and staying there without drooping) but I ended up remedying that but moving the clip base.My plants are alive and did grow so I consider it a win.

Bright little light
Holy Hell!! This little light is BRIGHT!! I didn't expect this bright of a light. It won't work for my plant/aquarium location but I can use it elsewhere.

Lasted 6.5 yrs @ 12hrs/day
Pink light! Set up on an auto timer in late 2016 and it just died this year. Works great.. Plants lived under it but I don't think it is strong enough for major growth, sunstressing or increasing variegation. I just wish I could replace the bulb vs throwing the whole thing away.
