Pros:- LED lights are very close together such that when you are using like in my case to accent a ceiling crown molding, the light looked uniform like it was a single light bar which I wanted. Another brand (Patriot) that I purchased locally hooad the LED lights that were larger, but also spread out farther from light to light, so instead of single light bar affect as this one as, it looks like a bunch a separate lights (think Christmas light strings).- The lights seem to be well made but I am only using for indoor use; not sure how long the self stick tape on the back would actually work outdoors.- Colors are bright and vibrant.Cons:- I did have one light set that had a bad end so it was returned, so hard to judge quality on a small number of total lights purchased (i purchased four total)- I receive a receiver and remote in one of the four sets that was different than the others so not sure if one orders multiple sets you are guaranteed to get them all to be the same. One set of lights between the three I ended up using looks a shade different than the other two but still usable.- Cannot string more than two sets together. When I put three together, the 3rd set was noticeably dimmer than the 1st set using a single power supply. In one of the question / answers on this product, the manufacture stated you can string three sets together so I was not expecting this. Even just stringing two lights together there is a noticeable drop between the first string and the end of the second string. I think on should understand this when thinking they are going to string multiple sets together without using multiple power supplies. This is the primary reason for my three star rating.- When you string two lights together, the tails on each end have gap of about 6" so if you are trying to go around a border, you either have to have a gap in your lights or try and double back to remove this. Since I was putting behind small crown molding and the lights do not like yo be folded over on a tight bend, this was not easy to do.- Wrapping lights around corners is not easy as again the light strip is flexible for larger bends, but corners make it tough easpecially when bending it left or right instead of around itself. I was going to try and mount another set around my kitchen island by mounting them under the counter top all around the rectangle island. However, since the lights are a flat strip, they don't like to bend in that direction to go around a corner. Just Another thing to be aware of.Suggestion for Improvements:- Create a phone app instead of using a remote.- Have the tails shorter so when you string together you don't have a gap.Overall, my project turned out pretty good for surrounding a bedroom within crown molding and I would buy this product again. If the longevity becomes an issue, I will update my review. I realize have a lot of cons listed but just want to provide input for those looking to use these and understand the limitations.

I put one strand of these along the upper back wall of my covered patio. They add just the right amount of light at night, especially since we can dim or brighten as desired, and it's nice to be able to change their color according to whim. (It seems that yellow attracts the fewest bugs though I have read many times that LEDs aren't supposed to attract bugs at all.) Having a remote to turn them on & off is very convenient. Where I have them positioned the box and strand itself are protected from the elements (unless the wind is really blowing the rain) so I can't attest to the waterproof-ness. My only complaint is that I haven't had any luck with the DIY buttons, but, there are enough default colors to chooses from that I can live with that.

I bought 2 sets of these lights as accent lighting for our deck. Love the lights - ability to dim them as well as the color selections! We do have a problem with one of the 12v power supply packs to it, there seems to be a loose connection, and if you bump it the lights go on/off... I would like to just arrange for a replacement of the power supply if I could... since the lights are already mounted on our deck.If I can arrange for that to be replaced, I will give it a 5 star!Thank you!

I bought this set of LED lights to install under my sons elevated bed in his "Fort". The sticky back tape is holding up well two weeks after installation without falling down. I did not have to splice or cut the ribbon at all as I got the dimensions of the space and ordered the correct size to fit so I can't attest to modifying the product. The remote works well and has plenty of color variation that can set the mood in a variety of installation areas. as well as the ability to brighten or dim the lighting and flash or slowly pulse between colors. I installed mine indoors so I can't speak to how well the waterproof claim holds up. Very good product so far and will likely buy again as I find another project to incorporate them into!

This LED light strip is really great! Installs in only minutes and looks great. The remote is a little confusing, but I'm not one for directions, I just pick it up and go. I ordered just one of these for my awning on my toy hauler, and once I installed it, I ordered two more (one is on the trailer where the awning attaches, one is on the roller that the awning rolls up on and I'm putting the other inside the trailer. They will all work off the same remote too, so I actually have 2 spare remotes! Love these lights and the price is basically NOTHING compared to some of the others I've looked at.

This is my second review after few days of use or no use. I said earlier that the strip stick well on the metal frame of my Gazebo. However, a day later I found that the strip has fallen to the ground due to the heat during day time. This is the Bay are, CA not Nevada desert. I used Window sealant to glue the strip back. Two days later it seems to be holding on.Do not expect the adhesive to work on hot surfaces.

I received the lights and was excited about placing them under the counter ledge of my bar for ambient lighting between the kitchen and dinning room as a surprise for my wife for Christmas Eve with the family. The surprise was all mine when the lights did not work properly. They would turn on and off, they would dim and brighten but would not change color no matter what I tried. I spent time online to see if I was missing a step to get the lights to change color but apparently it is just my crappy lights. So much for ambient lighting during my family dinner and gift opening on Christmas eve. I would have given zero stars but did not know how. I would suggest that you spend your money on a set of lights made in the USA instead of these pieces of crap from China!!!!!! I tried to save money and got crap that does not work. I will be returning this product for a refund if I am able. My advice if you are looking for good quality led lights that work is to look some where else.
