I Hate Fairyland Book One

Gorgeous, just gorgeous.
Exceptional. I almost bought the separate volumes. I'm glad I chose this mighty deluxe hardcover oversized version instead. The book reeks of quality, and the art, colours and lettering are phenomenal. The last 20 or so pages show the script for a page followed by the art in black and white. I adore black and white art and have been horrified too many times seeing the colourist drown out the linework, but Jean-Francois Beaulieu's colours only add to the gorgeousnessness...ness, and the whole book has given me a much-needed push to start work on my own book. The only downside to buying this version is that I'll have to wait a while for Book 2. Poor me. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

A fairytale adventure you wont forget
This is Skottie Young's magnum opus. His art really stands out here (especially in this size format) and the comedy is real solid, along the plot of the story, it jumbles itself around in a good way, different characters are introduced and wiped away the next page, but manage to still keep importance. This is why I also that you get the 2nd book qs soon as possible, the build is something special. The binding is good and the page quality is superior to that of an omnibus. This universe reminds me of that one treehouse of horror episode if you know what I mean. Some flaws of this tho is that the comedy may not hit as well sometimes, and it's not really a deep complex story but it's just fun to read. And I'm sure the main character, as Image's 'deadpool' will find away into your hearts.
