Bought it so just keeping - UDATE 2 years use
When I saw Toshiba I fell for it. I have another HDD from them that works even now after 15 years. It is made of plastic and not very sturdy compared to my Seagate HDD.It is very compact compared to others like Seagate I have. Was surprised how it was so. A video of dismantling it showed what it was. The USB port is built into the hard disk. If the port misbehaves that's it. Throw the disk away. I had another drisk where this happened. I just removed the hdd and put it in another enclosure. Anyways I got this disk to use as a backup to backup. So usage will be limited and the chance of port getting bad is less.The performance is nothing super as Toshiba claim. My other hdd with USB 3 enclosure from some Chinese company outdid Toshiba in a speed test.THE UPDATE AFTER ABOUT 2 YEARS PLUS IS IT IS DEAD. LOST ALL DATA. I used it to backup my home server data once in 3 - 4 months. Did last update of data in mid-December 2022 and tried to update mid January 2023. Not detected by the PC. Other Seagate HDD even after 8 years is working as expected. NEVER TO BUY TOSHIBA DRIVES NOW ON.

J'ai bien reçu la commande de ce disque dur Toshiba, ayant été avertie de la date de réception fin janvier, pas de souci. Emballage très protecteur, merci :) Produit neuf dans son emballage certi. RAS :) Je trouve juste que le cordon usb soit un peu court.

Comprai il mio primo hard disk Toshiba 9 anni fa ed ancora oggi é perfettamente funzionante, per questo ho deciso di andare su questo brand dato che lavoro con progetti informatici molto “pesanti” ed ho necessità di toglierli dal pc. Prima di tutto, questo colore è elegante e particolare (a me piace da morire) e l’hard disk è davvero leggerissimo e non ingombrante. Tecnicamente è molto rapido durante i trasferimenti dati grazie all’USB 3.0. Ho un Mac e tranquillizzo chiunque abbia dei dubbi, é possibile usarlo anche con questo sistema operativo senza alcun problema! É adatto sia al sistema operativo windows che mac os. Per quest’ultimo basta andare sull’app Utility disco, già presente sul sistema, selezionare l’hard disk tra i dischi esterni e fare click su inizializza. Lo consiglio vivamente...5 stelle! (P.s. È anche arrivato il giorno prima della data prevista con spedizione gratuita)

Problemlos funktionierende Produkte
Habe vor ca.-6 Wochen drei Stück gekauft und an einen TechSat ISIO Kabelreceiver über einen aktiven USB-Hub angeschlossen, zwecks TV-Aufnahme. Die Toshiba Canvio Advance HDDs (je 2TB) laufen einwandfrei, sind für eine HDD entsprechend schnell hochgelaufen und spielen TV-Aufnahmen ohne mucken und zucken ab.Und das, obwohl an dem zwischen HDDs und Kabelreceiver gehängten aktiven 7-er USB-Hub noch 4 weitere (Seagate bzw. Maxtor) HDDs, ebenfalls in 2,5'' Größe, angeschlossen sind.Habe die drei Toshiba Canvio Advance auch mal an den PC angeschlossen, um zu formatieren und Daten zu bewegen. Das gleiche Bild: Die Teile funktionieren flink und zuverlässig. Die Kabel sind jeweils etwa 30cm lang (geschätzt). Arbeitsgeräusche kann ich nicht vernehmen. Wenn eingeschaltet blinkt eine LED. Wen das stört, der kann die HDD entweder umdrehen oder die LED abkleben.

Sehr Gut !!
Ich habe die Festplatte seit nunmehr über einem Jahr in Betrieb am TV, sie läuft anstandslos ist sehr leise und äusserst fix ! Hatte zu erst ein WD gekauft die schon am PC zickte wie verrückt, diese dann zurück geschickt um sie mit der Toshiba z ersetzen ! Siehe da, eine gute Entscheidung ! Sie läuft an alles Geräten ob nun TV oder PC sofort macht nirgends Theater. Fazit: absolute Kaufempfehlung !
