25 Exploding Cap Darts .40 Cal. - 25 Darts

All in all these are worth the $8 I spent on then. You fit a little red cap over the tip of the dart and use as a normal blow gun projectile. The plastic dart are cheaply made though, unbalanced, they have a tendency to curve because of this and not set the cap off. However when they do hit straight on they make a very loud and satisfying bang when they hit a hard surface like a wall. If the darts were better quality in would them 5 stars. If you find these for around $8 you should buy them at least once. They are great for scaring your unsuspecting friends. I have raccoons in my neighborhood that like to throw my trash, recycling, and compost all over the backyard. I have used these to scare them off by shooting the darts at the brick wall next to the trash cans (or even the can itself) when they are going through them. Is usually only takes one dart. The bang doesn't cause them physical harm but the noise is very startling to an unsuspecting raccoon, and they don't forget it. They tend not to mess with my yard anymore. I don't want to cause them any physical harm and these darts have been a good deterrent.

half are duds kinda like a cap gun ones that do go off are funny make people jump but if a dud it no fun

We like them. Shoot it at a flat surface and they will pop like a cap gun. Few duds here and there but for $8 they are cool 12 yr old son and his buddies run around out side shooting at everything with bb and airsoft guns. This just adds to their fun.

Didn't make much of a bang.

Fine - they don't EXPLODE, but they do POP loud. It did damage my drywall to the point of needing repair. LOUD. Fun as a joke. Has to hit hard surface - body parts won't set them off... You'll only make someone mad. It'll still hurt, but won't POP.

These are not stand alone darts they need a gun or something. The amazon description is poor at best.

Worked as advertised. Actually, best deterrent I have ever come across. The plastic dart has one of the caps put on the tip so when blown out of a blow gun, amazingly loud, when it hits. Defenitly silent going out and has about 60+ yards of flight with enough speed to set off when hitting something solid. Will not explode unless you hit a flat piece of metal, wood, or anything flat and/or solid. I'm ordering more soon as I finish this.

ok,,, they are expoding caps - kinda like the cap gun I grew up with as a young man.... ok - as a Kid... I have not used many of them, but suggest using the Avenger guns; not the Predetor guns. There does seem to be a difference between the two blow-guns. Most target darts work ok in both. Others seem to be specific to the guns. These are fun... from about 10-15 yards out, against the block fence - they pop rather well... brings back being a kid again.
