Some not appropriate images and writing
I wouldn’t purchase them if i knew that 2 of them are romantic (more than romantic)! Images of french kissing is not suitable for that age!?! Also one story wasn’t that appropriate in writing! The guy likes everything she does and then at the end he tells her i like you and then french kiss !

Amazing!
If I could give these more than 5 stars I would. My daughter is in Kindergarten and learning sight words but had told me she “hates reading” and was being extremely obstinate any time I tried to get her to read with me. We had tried Bob Books, as those had been very successful with children I babysat years ago. She hated them. And no wonder, who wants to struggle to read books with no color that have no plot and no interesting characters? My daughter is not a huge Disney Princess fan, but I figured after seeing how she responded positively to a Step Into Reading Level 1 Rapunzel book that these might be a good choice. SO HAPPY!The sentences do have plenty of sight words and most are repetition-based with the similarly structured sentences on every page with only a few words or phrases changed. If you’re not an educator you might not see this as a plus. But it absolutely is because it enables the child to practice reading and recognizing the same patterns of words over and over again. Won’t they just memorize the sentence from the previous page? No. They can’t because the sentences are different and you can’t read the next page unless you know where the similarities start and end and you can’t know that without actually reading the sentence. For an advanced reader this is obvious, but for an early reader, not so much. The set also comes with 2 pages of Disney Princess stickers and a certificate. The way we used them is that after my daughter had read a book, she was able to choose one of the stickers (usually she chose the one that matched the princess in the book) and place it on the inside cover. After she had completed all of them once, we filled out the certificate, laminated it, and now she proudly has it displayed in her bedroom! She loves the books so much that she has continued to read them and stick more stickers in the inside covers. It makes her feel proud and shows how many times she’s read each book. Eventually we’ll run out of stickers and that’s fine. Now she says “I love reading! Reading is my favorite thing to do!” Ahh, how quickly things change. Certainly not going to remind her than not long ago she’s was insisting that she hated reading. I am so happy with this set and so proud of my child. I wish they had more sets.Overall, I highly recommend this purchase if your child is reading-ready (5-ish) and likes princesses. This set truly helped my child develop a love of reading. What more could a parent want? Buy this set.

Happy with these
Bought for my Year 1 daughter who is suffering a few more weeks out of school due to year group covid closure. These are short books, not to be mistaken by parents as story books they can read to their child but very much simple, short repetitive sentences for the child to read (which is what I was after). I didn’t read the description properly so the stickers and certificate that come with the set were a welcome addition. You’ll get through the set quickly no doubt, but in my opinion this in an inexpensive set and helps to boost confidence outside of their usual school reading schemes. These books do NOT simply have all decode-able words/cvc words. That being said, this forces your child to think a little, look for picture clues to work out the word etc. Which isn’t a bad thing. Following this purchase, I went on to buy “World of Reading Disney Classic Characters Level 1 Boxed Set” and this set has strangely much longer sentences and substance to it, but is still titled Level 1?

Easy to transport, light reading
I bought this for the purpose of bedtime stories replacement while on vacation since I didn’t want to take the whole truck load of books with us. This pack of princess books is great! Each book maybe only has six to eight pages and one sentence on each. My toddler can’t read yet but I can read it with her and show her the words and the pictures on the side. It goes by fast.
