I was so excited when I read stainless steel in the product description however the barrel is only stainless steel the rest is made out of aluminum and sadly when you work with dough and your hand gets in contact with the aluminum your hand turns black was not happy at all with this product if I would have known that the product is made out of aluminum I wouldn't have purchased it in the first place as I had a similar experience with another pastry gun
