A lot of reviewers have problems tightening the collars on these type of threaded bars.I know I did, and I found a solution online, and I am offering it here.Tighten the threaten nut all the way until it is snug.Now simply turn the plate on the same side as the threaded nut , clockwise.You may need to hold the threaded nut with a cloth/towel , and this is easier to do with plates that have the holes in them, since the are easier to grab.Doing the above will get it so tight, that the washers may pop out. Just warning yo.And on one set of dumbbells I needed a big wrench to remove one side, guess I need to work out more.

Good, sturdy quality product, however as what others have already mentioned, the screw clamps come loose over time so just make sure you tighten before use. Not so much an issue for me personally, but if it annoys you, try buying a different clamps. Overall, good value for price. Shipping on prime was very fast too!

OVERALL:Sturdy and comfortable for the wrists compared to straight bars.It's quite heavy at 10 lbs (approx) and gives that extra weight while lifting.No defects or any complain whatsoever!STAR LOCK COLLARS:The collars tend to loosen up by themselves while lifting and it is perfectly normal. They fit very well. You won't loose your weights even if they loosen up a bit during your set. ALL my bars (straight or curl) do that and I have bars that I have paid well over $120. If it annoys you that much, maybe you should reconsider lifting and learn meditation instead!

I am really enjoying this product, now that the gyms are a hassle with all the COVID restrictions. It's solid and feels good in the palms, as opposed to dumbbells that hold 1" weights. Curl bars are usually thinner. Like some of the he reviews mentioned, the weight collars have to be tightened in-between sets, which is my only complaint. Note to the manufacturer: I think this could be resolved with some good washers between the weight and the bar, etc.But overall I am truly enjoying this product and getting a pump on, too.

I give it 1 star to warn people. The collars move around all the time. You will be constantly be screwing it and tightening it. In between sets and occasionally during a set.I even purchased separate clips and they don't fit. So that tells you that the bar's diameter is a little too small and that's why the collar and the clips aren't working properly.Otherwise, it's okay. The grip is okay and it's just a long metal bar. I've been using it for a couple of months and it's been okay otherwise. I considered returning this, but it's so big and heavy that I didn't bother.
