Scholastic The Goldfish Boy

I selected this book for a book club that I run. The youth (ages 11-15) really enjoyed the book and the twists and turns. An unexpected bonus was great insights into the OCD that the main character faces with bravery in the book. I loved the clever writing of the main character and the subtle humour.

I read this with my 12 year old boy. It was a really good story which kept him engaged - he is not easily pleased when it comes to books! But he was really interested. It’s a fun book but also really emotional too. Would be great for a child with OCD to read.

I am always on the search for interesting books for my 11yo son to read. He is not into Science Fiction which makes nit very hard for a boy at this age to find books to read. The storyline of this book is very interesting and its been a breeze getting him to do his daily reading. I would definiately recommend this book for boys and girls.

One of the best books I have ever read! it made me fall in love with the writer herself and now I cannot stop devouring her novels. they are targeted for kids, but as an adult also I can honestly say this book got to me in so many ways I cannot describe. I just love it, and I recommend it to everyone out there, kid or not.
